Hey Rae! I really like that you try combos that your viewers recommend. That’s pretty cool. Yep, I’ve seen more shine on your hair from other products. Still SO full & fluffy though. I love it! ❤
Hey friend! I hope your holidays were filled with love and laughter. I'm going to try it again and see if I can get better results. Thanks for stopping by.
I like KC products. Looks like your hair is clumping nicely. Yes, if you don't have the right wash day combo your wash and go can go wrong. Been there. I love the volume. Thank you for doing a video on that gel.
I like Keracare products, too, that's why I wanted this gel to work. I am going to try it again to see if I can get better results. Thanks for watching.
My mom recently gave me this gel to try. I love how it just glided on your hair and the fluffy results. I'm excited to see how your regular routine works with this product 👏🏾
Me too, because this first combo is a "no." I don't think it is a bad gel, it just depends on what kind of feel you like for your hair. I don't like sticky and gummy so that is why it was a miss for me this time. Hopefully I can rectify that next time by using less gel. Thanks for tuning in.
Hi Rae I have never tried the kc gel and yes your hair looks like a fluffy wng but it does look dry and no shine. Yes sometimes it takes 2-3 tries where you tweak it by using a different combo to make sure if it is going to work or not on your hair. Love the honesty of the video reviews you give and also the fact you try combo’s from you subscribers 😉
This is the first time ii have seen a so-so wash & go.on your hair. We will see. Can you share the foundation you are using? It looks great! Love all of your videos.
I've had plenty of so-so wash and gos, believe me. As far as the foundation, I believe it was Wet N' Wild Photo Focus in Caramel, but don't mark my words on it. Thanks for tuning in.
I love that gel. It is a staple in my stash of products. You have to find the best products to use with it. I have learned that the type of conditioner that is used has a major impact on how styling products work on hair. If the conditioner does not provide enough moisture, etc. the styling products, particularly gel, will not work well and that is even with leave-in for my hair. The gel is not a strong hold, but it gives me amazing definition and a good enough hold, but it is not a strong hold gel.
I agree. I like a softer hold, I just don't want it to be sticky. I am going to tweak my combo and try it again. Thanks for the comment and for tuning in.
“It looks like hair” 😂 the definition is there - looks good - hopefully combining it with another leave in will give a better result - looking forward to the deep conditioner review
AW MAN! I wanted you to love this so bad. I will say I probably used 2x as much gel as you did BUT it does have an extremely moisturizing aspect that can feel extremely soft and overmoisturized so there's a learning curve. I personally prefer the feel over crunch. You probably thought I was playing when I said it had no crunch and was the most moisturizing gel I've ever used 😂. I kept hearing you talking about how you're moving from crunchy wash n go's to softer ones that feel lived in. I guess I over shot it and here we are with overmoisturized hair lol! You might like the other gels from this line because they don't give that EXTREME moisture that might be too much. I do think this one has a "gummy" sensation to it but I tend to like that feeling over crunch, the other ones also have no crunch but in my experience didn't have the "film" like sensation.
It's ok. I didn't think you were playing when you said no crunch, I just didn't know it would feel sticky and gummy. I am going to give it another go, using less and see if I can get it to feel a little better so stay tuned. Thanks for the suggestion, though. 😊
Looks like a nice gel. The Mane Choice discontinued my favorite Do It fro the Culture Bold buttery Gel 🥺. I chased it down on the web and bought four. Why why why? 😭
This is the ONLY gel line I use, it’s good for those who are just starting wash n gos I prefer the “max hold” and the anti shedding. Nothing better if you want a soft hold and This one does make your hair sticky which why I don’t use this color. But then again I don’t like most other gels because I feel like my hair is always super dry. Looks good.
Thanks for sharing. Hopefully I can get this to work where my hair isn't sticky; we'll see. I have seen the other gels you mentioned and I may try them at a later date. Thanks for tuning in.
I use their strong hold gel love it but good lawd it’s sticky. I have to use a lot of water with this gel to get less of that sticky tacky feeling. I did notice I can’t use a leave in with this gel and yes less is better I just discovered that. It’s a nice line and the price is even better.
I've never heard any of the other youtubers say it was sticky, that is why I thought I did something wrong. Now, everyone is saying it is sticky so maybe I will try it alone or with it's leave-in but using way less than I did before. I hope that helps me get better results. Thanks for tuning in.
@@NaturalRaeRae Me either and I was surprised that no other TH-camr mentioned that. This hair gel is trial and error and for me it works best alone with a lot of water.
@@Lifewithpmdd yes I agree but O so t use leave in with this one the strengthening one and the biotin is my fav extremely moisturizing with no leave in
This gel is not for my hair. I believe it's the glycerin content in it. The Doux' Big Poppa is the same way on me. No hold and ends up frizzy. I'm also thinking the glycerin, so high up kept you from drying all the way too and creating the frizz.
Thanks for the feedback. I do have the Big Poppa, as well, but haven't tried it yet. I hope I'm not disappointed that I purchased it. Thanks for tuning in.
If you use too much, it can definitely get really sticky. I used less the next go round and it felt much better. Try it again, using a lot less and let it dry completely; I think you'll get better results.
@@NaturalRaeRae basically they both feel the same except when the kera gel dries it makes my hair feel TOO soft…like its almost mushy and wet. The big poppa actually dries with a cast, tho its still super moisturized and soft.
Your hair just can’t look bad to me lol. I’m glad it wasn’t a complete fail ❤
That's sweet, but girl, the feel... Ugh! I hope it feels better alone or with its own leave-in. Thanks for tuning in.
@@NaturalRaeRaeI hope the next trial works out!
The leave in in this line is wonderful. I think you’ll like it paired with this gel.
I plan to try that next. Thanks for watching.

Thank you

I recently tried this gel and it ended up making gummy gel balls in my hair😭. It’s a shame cause I really liked how soft if made my hair feel

You’re hair came out nice next time use entire line💖
That's my plan
This gel is too gooey for me. Its like the foux big poppa without the firmness once its set.
I'm not sure what you mean. I have the Big Poppa, but I haven't used it yet. I hope I can get them both to work for me. 🤞🏾

@@disneytoysr4fun975 oh, ok. Thanks for clarifying.
It looks dull and a little frizzy...not alot of definition. Just a thought...
