Did you get the wider spline front sproket yet? I bought a used 93 xr not knowing thats something these bikes chew up. Bad engineering. Had to split the transmission and replace the main drive shaft RockyMouintanAtv makes a wider one or Fritzco. Also Daves carb mod
Foot pegs, the stock ones are way too small. If you plan on doing any kind of off-road riding get a different set of pegs. And get a fritzco countershaft sprocket, the stock one is thin and will tear up the splines on your countershaft. And get a different slip on exhaust. The stock pipe really chokes it. I put a yoshimira on mine and that has made the most difference. Lot more power and sounds a lot better. Ohh and shitcan the stock air filter and get a good foam filter.

I got the same bike. Just use the old bolts. Cut them to length.
If this has no real discernable affect, then my advice is dont bother.
Weight, Cleaner look and it’s just there for California restrictions
