I know the feeling. I too won $10,000 on a $5 ticket here in California. I bought it as I entered the grocery store to go shopping. I spend $20 on two $5 and one $10. Won $20 on the $10 and then I had to scan my one $5 ticket three times to believe what I was seeing. I signed it immediately. The rest of my shopping was a blur. Congratulations. BTW, the state kept $2400 in federal taxes, but I ended up getting it all back with my tax return since I don’t earn that much. Best of luck on finding your next big win.

I also recommend printing the claim form and refilling it out at home. I’m pretty sure they are gonna withhold 24% or 26% for federal taxes. Make sure you don’t owe the IRS or any of the state agencies or they will offset your winnings. Congrats on your win. That is amazing.

The first ticket from that new pack hit for $1,000.000. I posted a video, basically an overhead view of our security camera at work that I took on my phone so you really can't see much of the ticket, just my reaction. I became Missouri's 149th million dollar winner and the last person to have my info publicized before the law changed.

Showing the barcode is irrelevant on any win over $600 because you need the actual ticket as well as a valid ID in order to cash anything over $600.
