I’ve been waiting for this review for 5 years, especially for Musical March in September.
    Also, R.I.P. Norm MacDonald.
1:41- I don't recall seeing this movie listed on Disney+.
7:14- Yeah, after seeing clips of Sly singing in this movie from a supercut video of some of his "best" film moments, this is the main reason I wanted Brad to do a Snob episode of Rhinestone for Musical March in September.
11:19- Yeah, I also fondly remember those commercials.
19:51- That theatre is also showing Two of a Kind, that John Travolta/Olivia Newton John rom-com that's worse than Rhinestone.

In the span of 18 months Disney released three fairly ambitious films based an park attractions it's had since the 1970's.
Pirates of the Carribean became a 4 billion dollar franchise with 5 movies, some of them good.
The Haunted Mansion was a forgettable whatever movie with a reboot that may be stuck in development hell.
...and the Country Bears just ate a bag of shit at the box office and flopped with most critics.

The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas was better, but Rhinestone isn't a terrible watch.

Loved it too! Sure it's campy and cheesy, but it was friggin' hilarious! And I actually thought Stallone and Parton had really good chemistry. Just keep in mind that it's not meant to be taken seriously--it's really not THAT bad.

I'd love to see the Cinema snob do a movie review like this for Sylvester Stallone's other movie "Cobra".

Good morning, Brad, you're looking clean-shaven and definitely sharp because I love that look. So why do you the commentary on Disney's "Rhinestone"
on Cinema Snob when I can listen to all the dialogue, effects and music?

So this is a remake of *My Fair Pygmalion*
But when are we going to get *Pygmalion in Space* (or *Pygmalion: Resurrection)?*

Oh yes, oh yes...oh yes. I have been waiting for this, I knew it would happen eventually. Sly's outfits in this look so much like they were designed for an Andrew Lloyd Webber musical.

Stallone does have a hidden charisma when he's not playing a sociopath that grew up snacking on lead paint like in cobra or the Rambo sequels. I actually thought stop or my mom will shoot was a decent comedy bc I would totally be the estelle Getty character if I was born in the same era.
