      Mate, ya' think if I suggested to them that they incorporate a big wireless and steering-wheel-button enabled neon panel on the back corner of the trailer, with a suddenly flashing sign that says "Don't pass me on the right,
      I'm turning!!!" ...
      ... that these 'office' designers would take that onboard as a good idea to pursue? Lol. 👁️🚛💨

      @William burd Raney website sells heated blades at about $170 a pair plus have to hard wired. Whereas Volva for years has put a heated windshield in their trucks. Works just like the heated rear window in a 4wheeler. They're also doing the same for the headlights because the new LEDs produce no heat and ice is a huge problem. 👍👍

      It’s pretty obvious that they have no idea about actually driving them… there’s things called parking lots and potholes which will eat those air dams for breakfast. Also the whole neutral coast idea is unsafe and just not smart. It kicks in while using cruise control. Causing the truck to rapidly accelerate or decelerate depending on the hill. Well passed where you have the speed set. Also the fact that you cannot manually shift the truck. (Automated transmission). If you climb a hill with it locked in say 11th gear, you reach a Plateau the computer will suddenly drop speed to reduce rpm, causing you to loose more momentum for the next portion of a hill. Garbage.

    • @ffx95
      @ffx95 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@brianhahne9623 I drive an auto. It has a bad habit of getting back on final gear the moment the hill evens out even if we’re about to climb another one. Heck it went into overdrive while I was still climbing a hill and had to go back to the same gear a few seconds later cause it lost momentum. I used to just put it in manual mode but then these assholes put a new update on the transmission and it gives me a fake transmission fault if I hang in manual mode for longer than a minute. Honestly really dangerous for winter driving all in the name of fuel economy.

    Something I think needs addressed that is probably more specific to Cummins is the engine fan causing a dust storm when backing just from the air con needing it. Maybe electric fans for that or some kind of shielding to keep air flow from launching the customers driveway out from under the truck and sending that dust into orbit.

    Alright I just got a bought a 2023 next-gen t680 the truck looks I have no complaints about the outside design or inside except for maybe some USB ports .....
    Now that being said...... Upon delivery my flaring rattle extremely loud I had the one side adjusted because they were loose but the dealership would not do the they just stayed at that that's how they are loud and mind you on a $200,000 plus truck ......
    The digital dash will not save my favorite layout no matter what it always somehow resets......
    Right now with only two hundred miles put on the truck since I received that the truck has a horrible alignment I just spent twelve hours at the dealership took the truck for a test drive and it's still wrong luckily the technician was showing me that the rear would probably have to be shimmed well I took a good look and my rear axle is shifted to the right almost three quarters of an inch we measured it with a tape......

    Sad thing aerodynamics become more reasonable than practical use.
    For instance,
    if you hit a deer otr, the front of the truck gonna take all damage... no way to save money for the repairs with this type of engineering.
    if you park truck at the truck stop, someone gonna back into the hood, that's another reason to pay more for repairs.
    I think trucking companies should stop running for aerodynamics only but start running for reliability, availability, safety and aerodynamics.
    Why not design convertible front bumper that serves porpoise for even better aerodynamics and safety when hitting obstacles otr(cars, animals,) reducing damages and expenses.
    Why not make convertible air aerodynamic parts so they actually "stay" in touch with the trailer even if there is turns, bumps on the road?
