Lozen was born sometime, in late 1840 and crossed-over one final time to the Spirit World, on June 17th 1889. She was born within sight of the Sacred Mountain near Ojo Caliente, where the Apache People began, in Northern Mexico, known at that time, as: “Apacheria”. Lozen is a 19th-century Apache Medicine Woman, Warrior and War Leader. She was a great Spiritual Leader of the Chihende band of the Chiricahua Apaches (also known as: the Mimbres or, Warm Springs Apaches), located in what is now, New Mexico. She was also a warrior and Prophet of the Chihenne Chiricahua Apache.. and a sister of the Warm Springs Apache Leader Victorio, who respected her greatly and was quoted, as referring to her as: “My right hand" in battle.., strong as a man, braver than most and cunning in strategy. Lozen is a shield to her People”.
