Love this video because you got the to point on every point without "blah blah blah" in between! THANK YOU! We have a private lake with about 20 homes. Still do not know who owns them, but I feed the mallards, squirrels, birds. They came up our boat ramp and I feed them shelled corn and cracked corn. They were missing for about 4 weeks and they reappeared! I don't mind feeding them, but wanted to make sure they are eating somewhat healthy. I am assuming I am giving them a "filler" food with the corn. I know it is not nutrient, but they are super cute. They love chasing the mallards off the yard! ha ha This video helped because I don't know who is male or female. They do mount each other a lot and seem to want to drown each other. Very weird on that. SUBSCRIBED! :)
Thank you for the information on Pekin ducks. My daughter got a drake and hen approximately 1 to 1 1/2 months ago. I just found 2 eggs near their kiddie pool tonight while cleaning the pool.
i thought it was pronounces Peking.. huh. well my 2 pekin ducks are almost 2 years old now. can confirm they are great meat ducks. had 6 in the beginning.
I am unsure if you respond to comment but i was looking for videos of duck and goose owners that seemed more experienced and i wanted to ask a few questions. One day in the future i wish to get a pet goose. I met a socialised grown goose that while a brat was very sweet and would sit in my lap, i am aware that not every pet goose would act like this but since then i thought i would love one as an animal companion one day. As such i have a few questions, and plan to look through a bunch of different sources before commiting. I am aware that ducks often need other ducks but does the same thing go for geese? How should they be socialized so that they are friendly enough with people but not dependent or people protective. I also wish to have cats and while i plan to keep them separate, would it be ok to allow them to see eachother from a distance, or would that cause to much stress. How would i prevent disease spreading between the two animals? Would i just have to carefully clean everything between interactions with each animal or are their vaccines that would take care of the basic. Any answers and opinions would be appreciated, as well as good sources for this type of research. Thanks 😅
👍 Thanks...brings back fond memories of my youth!

Geese are very social birds and they tend to mate for life. I would strongly suggest getting at least 2
My family has 6 ducks, which two of them are Perkins and the a others pair are muscovy ducks 🎉
Why the Geese shots in a Pekin Duck video? Good video though
Can you do for a sasso chicken please
Pekin duck: 🙂

Isn't there a peckin chicken?
