We can be envious of the people we are on the same team with. Paul warns us of this as well when he says we can bite a devour one another. An envious heart is a trap waiting for a "dignified" reason to snap, very dangerous, thank you for the warning 🙏🏾 Cain was so consumed by envy he ignores the warning that there was something that wanted to devour him as he wanted to snuff out his own brother
Envying the wicked is not so much the problem. We know they will stand before Christ and be judged for it and whatever they gained in this life will be worthless to them. The hardest part is supposed fellow Christians living however they want, God does nothing about it, they will still go to heaven. Here we are, trying to live for Christ - not perfectly, but genuinely and faithfully - and our lives are falling apart! THAT is the hard thing.
Praying for you Yesica. Resting in God's sovereignty in the midst of things falling apart is the only way I know to have peace. I reflect on Joseph and his troubles, the apostle Paul and his troubles, and know that God had a bigger plan for both of them that they couldn't see at the time.
Envy is the spirit of Jezebel (Marxist) which is what you are witnessing right now in the church. It’s only preparing the “manchild” well prophesied by the apostle Paul in Philippians 1:27-28. God’s power will snatch us away from the envy of the apostate church (Ezekiel 13:23).
His examples were Ghandi and MLK…..Ghandi wasn’t a Christian like at all and MLK didn’t believe Jesus physical body was raised from the dead…..so technically, neither was MLK.
I so needed this message, I was envying others with good health, normal life. And in Gods kindess shows this message.
For real it’s envy of God too. Many want to be God and be more powerful than God…

It IS a hard and heavy thing. It can be hard to keep our eyes on the things above and to remind ourselves of His faithfulness and mercy to us.
