We need more of these. While the group buys are great, not everyone can get one or afford one. I wasnt able to get any of the alice layout keyboards group buy despite being able to afford it. But im not about to buy one aftermarket with a markup and used. I've been rocking a Switch Couture Alice for over two years now but the sound signature just doesnt hit the same as a more solid material. Thanks for the review. I will definitely be replacing mine with one of these.
What size is the right spacebar? Seems like 2,5 u? That cant be right? Thats not a layout any key has, so its propably 2,75 u and just looks weird? 2,25 u left and 2,75 u right would make sense and make it easy to use with any kitting, as you can just use normal right shift. In my case, i dont want to just buy expensive mini bar kits for my sets, which are also hard to find.
Good to know for my next review. It all depends on how much foam you use, if you use all the foam it’s pretty stiff, the more foam you take out, the more bouncy/soft it gets.
Is it possible to just set a fixed gradient of colours for the rgb led strip? eg. Have it on a fixed rainbow gradient without flowing/changing through colours
Is there any way to permanently remove the rgb? I use the commands Fn + Backspace and it would turn off the rgb, but when i disconnect the keyboard from my laptop and reconnect it, the RGB turns on.
One of the Factors that had me Sold on this Keyboard. Was Debating whether to get Akko ACR Pro Plus or Monsgeek M6, until this Keyboard got recommended to me and now Plan to buy this one XD. @@BokehhBob i have a akko alice but I don't use it now because idk after sometime some of my keys are not responsive. I feel like the abm066 gives more function over the record. but the record just looks better, especially the red one omg
Have 3 copies of this board and outside of 1 bad pcb which my vendor was quick to replace it's honestly not a bad board for the money, I think that in terms of the value game coming out of certain boards the race to the bottom is always a win for the consumers especially since this specific race to the bottom seems pretty uncompromising on quality, the ano isn't anything special but honestly at 100$ the fact that it comes with solid ano with minimal streaks (albeit a fingerprint magnet) is pretty rad. I came from two owlabs spring keyboards as well and this board enticed me to sell my springs. Because of the fact that I can get a near similar sound signature for a fifth of the cost which I can allocate to other parts of my desk setup.
perfectly put raider. So since mine was ewhite, its coated and is actually really nice. no finger prints. I do think the weight coating could def use some work but for the price to value of this keeb is insane.
@@BokehhBob oh yeah agreed I have a white model coming in soon, currently have the black brown and grey in and I ended up using the grey the most. Good review, I'll make sure to catch up on more of your streams👍
As someone who owns a Spring, this is a literal one to one rip-off, obviously worse made. Just buy something unique and inexpensive instead of a 100% stolen design
It’s a good option for those who don’t want to pay the aftermarket price of the spring. And since the spring is no longer being made i see no issue with it.
@@BokehhBobOr idk maybe just buy a uniquely designed alice/arisu board that’s not a straight clone? Especially since the alternative would be way higher quality. People just love buying fake imitation crap when they could get a genuinely good board that’s unique for less than a real spring.
@@alex_soulsi think having price options for all budgets isn’t bad. There are 100’s of boards that share the same layout, it was bound to happen the spring layout be “cloned” At the same time not all people have 300, 400 or 500+ to spend in a keyboard so this option is there for them. Clearly it’s not your cup of tea which i get where you’re coming from. Realistically Owllabs needs to patent their design so stuff like this doesn’t happen. Either that or go after the factory if they think it’s a direct clone. Many keyboards use the same layout with slightly different bottom, top or interior designs. The record is also not taking away from anyone. The spring is discontinued. So it’s only effecting aftermarket sales which imo doesn’t matter at all.

Do you by any chance know how thick the pcb is? If it is 1.2mm or 1.6mm
Not off the top of my head. I don’t think it’s mentioned either in the description. May have to look around

This is literally 50$ shipped for the anode alu version in SEA lol
ya american market is much more expensive. im sure there are ways to get it here for a lower price though.
This more likely is the same thing for the SEA variants where they call this a weikav record board.

me too Gingy. getting mine in next week - hoping i'll get used to it!
