Improvisation plays an essential role in Persian Music and it is more based on interpretation of the Dastgah feeling and principles which maestros have made. A good improvisation needs good skills on instrumental techniques or singing and complete knowledge of Dastagahs and Avazes, melody and rhythm structure of their Gushe’s and their arrangement order.

What a beautiful sound,
Real name is Barbat from Iranian language.
When the Arabs saw it, during their Islamic invasion they called it Oud, as it's made from wood.
All instruments related to Tar.
The word (Tar) means "string" guitar, Setar, etc... come from persia.
It's just for information.
No racism or nationalism,.
We are all earth's children.. ..

Barbat is Persian musical instrument and after Arab invasion in Iran they called it Oud but it is originated from Iran Oud is Arabic name for Barbat
