EverQuest: Revised 115 Shadowknight Setup (for my somewhat lazy play style with example fights)

  • I've revised my earlier Shadowknight setup over time. This is done to conform with other classes and introduce some nuances that I've come up with over the past year. I wouldn't suggest anyone copy my setup, but it may help you focus on things that you want to include in your own setup and give you ideas of what you may not want to do. DPS/Heal Charts for the fights at the end; decent DPS but I've seen a lot of SKs beat what I put out.
    Putting out a few videos to catch up with some of the videos I've promised people. More to come, of course.

    Enjoying the varied content, keep up the great work and keeping a great game like EQ visible to potential new players.

    I know this is old and I find your videos very helpful! just one question...If you are using Impertinent influence on cooldown would that not stop you from using your 20% defense button (carapace) since they are both on same cool down?

    Thanks for the video, good stuff. I'm a returning SK and the additions from level 65->115 are overwhelming but videos like this help sort it out. Have you ever done a video on your UI?

      I haven't updated for the newer levels, but I'll look at my SK and put together my spell lists. I mainly favor taps over Dots.

      My standard spell for my SK updated to current levels, but you can adjust this up or down:
      1. Parlay for Power (for recourse, if you've got super AC already, you may not need this, aggro usually isn't an issue);
      2. Spear (for the DPS);
      3. Bite (dps, hit points, and mana is a nice combo);
      4. Fang (I tap heavily, some favor DoTs, but I find mana wise and health wise, taps work for me);
      5. Dire
      6. Touch of Txiki
      7. Touch of Namdrows;
      8. Plague of Fleshrot;
      9. Bond of Bynn;
      10. Blood of Tearc;
      11. Unscrupulous Blight;
      12. Adamant Stance;
      13. Terror of Ander
      If you don't need stance, then you can sub in a dot. This is my working spell set.

    I just started playing in November. I am at level 115. What buffs should I block. It seems with other people buff me my ac goes down.

      I'm going to have to look that up. I can't remember the specifics offhand.

      And I still am not sure of the right answer. You've stumped me. I will throw in the updated healing spells to block if you're working with a merc healer:
      /blockspell add me 13 55159 55292 55204
      /blockspell add pet 13 55159 55292 55204
      This will block all the current spells and the earlier versions. You can add Refreshing Splash, which is ID 55274 if you want. I don't, but some do.
      Of course, unblock the spells if you're grouping with an actual cleric. Wish I knew the answer to your specific question, but I need to do some research. You might ask on the EQ forums.
