This Military MB or GPW had been rebuilt within the past Ten years, It is the best looking Military Jeep I have Seen. This is not something I just got into , this is my Personal interest scenes 1965. They are doing a great job , This is a Cherry Pick vehicle .
I love this! I’m at the point where I need to remove paint and bondo from my ‘42 MB because the rust is getting worse underneath. I love the patina but feel like I’d better remove it and start over if I want to keep the thing alive. What are your thoughts on paint stripper? Why didn’t you use it?
Did you find hood numbers? It may have been easier to have had the body, fenders, hood, and grill sandblasted. Sure it costs some $. But time is money too.
I didn't find any numbers unfortunately. I have another video coming up where I dive into that. They had been stripped/removed prior to me searching for them. Definitely considering sandblasting in the future, assuming that process doesn't warp the panels. This is different than a later model car like a 60's Impala however, so I may be ok if I have the components blasted.
