I have a pair of 4312A Control Monitor speakers. That's what the guy at the board would have listen to to decide how to mix the music for the records. Absolutely the best I've ever owned. Sorry for the late reply, but I just saw this.
I got engaged with loudspeaker design back in the eighties when I first saw two brand new 816V with 511B horns we bought for rental. They came with a traditional 416-8C LF drivers, already with rubber on the magnet and the pink insulation fiberglass in the cabinet. A pity that he passed away so early...and what a lucky person is Les Paul that met him in person. Thanks for sharing this interview.

It's so sad what happened. Didn't get a chance to enjoy the fruits of his labor. May you rest in peace Mr. Lansing.
