Massive respect to Toyota and Subaru for making this car before electrification dominates the automotive industry. I grew up watching the anime "Initial D" in which the protagonist drives an AE86(hachiroku) and I'd dream about driving a car like that with a pure RWD-naturally aspirated engine with a manual transmission experience and now it really is possible especially with this update because this appears to be a much better overall package and Toyota & Subaru have addressed the torque dip issue with the new 2.4l boxer engine. I feel like the universe has answered my call. Thanks for the vid, man. Hope this sells like hotcakes.
Its everything that was great about the last generation with all the shortcomings fixed. They new the formula was great and they made it even better! I hope you get a chance to own one!
Thanks for the vid man. I love the base car honestly. I don't need all the bells and whistles. Silver, base, no options, manual trans.....and I'm a happy camper.
Honestly I am a person who likes simplicity, especially in a sports car. I think too much tech takes away from the driver engagement, which is the whole point of this car.
@Alex Cruz Congrats on your order! I know it's difficult to commit to a car you haven't even seen in person yet but I can assure you you will not be disappointed.
Like most people, I think the base model is the way to go. So many upgrades over the previous generation, and I think it looks better compared to premium.
@@bobbybooshay5854 yes, but you could get those much cheaper than by paying for the higher trim. Also the base tires are more “fun” if you like to go sideways on the track. It’s all based on preference of course.

Ironically, the best things about the GR86 is the back seat, because they exist. If you plan on only getting this one car. How are u getting ur hands on this. Are dealers getting these to know what to expect or something? Also when can we expect these to hit dealers here in the states?
This one was our very first GR86. In our region all dealerships are expecting to get one before the end of January and we were lucky to be one of the first ones, and sold it before it arrived. Supply is low so you gotta act fast to get a hold of one of these soon.
Wish I could help you man but unfortunately due to strict California laws and smog inspections we cannot sell to California residents. We have other AutoNation stores in California that can help you with your order. Have you tried to contact your local dealer?

The back seats lower your insurance by taking it out of the 2 seat sport coupe category.
