Yes - I fully agree. I really think this channel is the most interesting channel in TH-cam at the moment. And - it seems it has all of a sudden gone mute. I hop you Jake will still find inspiration to create these stories (even if you decided to stop vanlife and get back to normal routines). Even if this vanlife theme has been the common theme of your videos in the past two years - those stories you have made, are the real beef of these videos.

I’m always searching for those crispy shots too. My sister, a wedding photog, reminds me that it’s cool to capture emotion & it’s a good reminder. Those little things that basically the camera just needs to be rolling for. Without perfect lighting or composition. All good! Nice video my dude.

With life being the way it is sometimes, your videos are always good for my soul.
I am from Haines, AK born in Sitka (because Haines only has a clinic) and now living in Juneau. If you ever visit Alaska again I strongly recommend visiting Haines. It's a small podunk town with just amazing memories awaiting to be claimed! Seriously look up Haines, there is a beer fest every year, a fair, everything a small town could have to offer and more.
That hot springs was next level! Amazing what’s hidden in Alaska.

I appreciate you being unapologetically you (applying to the entire group). I sometimes wonder if smoking/drinking/jokes should be included in films, and this was a great reminder to simply appreciate and capture friendships. Hope we film a trip in Colorado someday.

Watching such videos in full screen often ends up with me closing full screen to like the video half way through. Sometimes I forget if I've already liked the video, but I see another spot I enjoy so I go out to like again. Didn't ever happen 4 times in one video though. Good job. As someone who has lived in Ak for 28 years, I can say this is quite accurate. What beautiful editing and story telling. Nothing truly beats coming home to a cozy warm home, in your puffy jacket, in 0 degree weather.

2:50 sums up my video making journey. I used to get upset when people would “ruin” my shots by being goofy or talking randomly. Then I started to realize that a video with 100% b-roll is boring AF! Now I’m all about capturing the moments as they happen. Happy, sad, boring, or epic, just capture the moment.

Bro these videos overwhelm me so much, they remind me of my own mind. Just a constant dialogue that makes me feel this incredible nostalgia and a mourning for a life I never got to live ; memories I never got to make. Like I literally struggle to watch them without getting upset as stupid as that sounds. You honestly capture the thoughts in my head so well, and turn them into a cinematic masterpiece. I love your aesthetic too as I shoot the same style on my g7, grainnnnnnn + really raw with high contrast & good natural lighting, I love it haha.
