I've just started doing this more with IMIW, Thing (when stun immune), Mordo, and Domino but you do have to be careful with the block damage especially if you have a low health champ. Another tip is if you have Hype, do SP1s on champs as they come forward to attack. I use this trick on IMIW/Sentinel all the time in AW.
This is a great tool Prof. Been doing it since IMIW came out too. A little more advanced technique for IMIW or Havoc and now Nova is to "reparry". You hold block and block the first hit and quickly tap to parry the second hit of their combo. Takes a bit more practice than this method, but they are both great ways to get around these champs.

Another small, but great benefit move just like this one is... rushing in for a medium, then 3 light combos, but DO NOT finish the combo with neither a light nor a medium. Just dash back. (Works great only when the defender is above 1 bar) It gives you distance from the defender’s special attack, instead of accidentally running into it.

It doesn't. He was talking about how the stand your ground mastery has saved him numerous times when he has got trapped in the corner in arenas. Then he moved on to talk about the heavy intercepting
Prof you should go over alot of newer champs who have aggressive combo rotations where you can simply either medium attack after theirs and get a free counter (i.e Domino) or light attack after their medium attack to counter them (i.e Annihilus and Cap Marvel Movie).
It's a great tip until you find yourself with a Node like Kinetic Tranference or the one where they increase the block penetration on both champs. It is a useful tip but not your solution for everything, it will help you progress faster on certain fights yes but that's it and it is just as useful as intercepting, parrying, dodging etc. I feel like in order to be good is to know how to adapt to the situation like in any other fighting game. If the fight requires you to be aggressive, intercept and parry but if the fights requires you to be defensive, block and dodge. And sometimes dodging it's bad as well for Spite nodes for example or buffet, sometimes parry is bad for stun inmune nodes or masochism. You just have to figure out which fighting approach for each fight you're require to use and read nodes too at least for the tough and rough champs.
Been doing this for long time. For unstunnable node. But in some cases. They have tremendous block damage. Fought a 6star NC in unstunnable tier 7 war. Was able to take him down to 20% with rank 4 5 star unawknd sparky.

Kabam has found a way to nerf every tactic. If you want to block, they'll throw out perfect block and give you chip damage. If you want to parry, they'll change timings (speed up the game) or won't give you the parry. If you want to dodge, the computer will follow up the initial dodge with a very quick 2nd attack that will hit you. If you want to hit the computer's block it will now intercept you on occasion. If you want to attack repeatedly, the computer will be passive in throwing attacks. If you want to back draft intercept the computer will intercept you instead. Guys, Kabam won 12.0. Sure they let you keep your Scarlet Witch, but then they didn't release her as a 5*. They nerfed your Thor and Strange and made you buy new champs. You can do that without that mastery...
dude this guy plays worse than we do :))
@Justin jr Holland you must be new to this game dude he is talking about holding block in 10 minutes. Total clickbait. In act6 and any other variant, holding block will get you wrecked after 20 blocked hits. So basically ... useless. And yes, i did more than he did in the game so .... yeah.
@Justin jr Holland i play for 5 years man. I have abyss and 6.4 left only. And i can prove it. This guy comes in 2020 and teaches about stand your ground. Now tell me please, how many end game players use that mastery?
Before you start commenting on what i've said check his videos. 50% of them are clickbait. Then come back and we'll talk.
@Justin jr Holland dude you said "get that you haven't done as much content as he did". Thats why i told you where i am in the game. And is irrelevant? However i must admit that i shouldve figured out that his clip is for new players. This i admit.
Definently works great for lazy fights. But what happens when they hit your block for like 2k or higher
It takes a toll when it comes to high damage opp. With crappy block proficiency
Lmao 😂
Wait til the noobs who are grateful for this video experience block penetration nodes.
come on prof, at least put "Beginner Tip" at the start of the title.
this is not valuable information for the majority of your viewers nor for the player base of the game.
Lifes not all about you mate
@@jabzn9536 yeah, notice how I refer to the "majority" and spell viewers with an "S" on the end. and in case you weren't sure, I can guarantee you I'm not the entire player base of the game, just one account.
@@ArchaicAce I know bro I was just being sarcastic, sorry 😆 but I tell you what I'm really stuck on chapter 5.23 😡 I don't know whether to start ranking up a few of my 5 stars and ditch my 4 stars or maybe I need to improve. 😭
WeeDaBest Ganjerman a lot of maxed out 4*’s helped me a lot in the chapter and with the collector fight, However if you have good five star champs especially if they’re awakened, at r3 they’re roughly equivalent to a r5 4* champion.
You can also rank 4 a 5* champion to help you clear content your stuck on, but that requires 4 T2 Alphas, which typically take a long time to get your hands on.
@@ArchaicAce yes bro I made a mistake ranking up my 5 star namor unduped btw and I could of maxed out a lot of my 4 stars 😡 but I do have an issue with using potions and revives 😆 I hate using them. But I will use them to get uncollected coz I'm sick of missing out on the rewards.
Thanks bro and have a nice day x
Kabam got everything they wanted, we got the booby prize.
That will not work in like a 5.4.6 ultron fight unless you have certain things on mastery , level on characters , or certain counter picks
I have only one r4 5 star and a few maxed 4 stars so....blocking in uncollected quests is like 5 to 10% of the health so, I have to intercept.
Prof, I’m soo Jealous. I don’t even have a 6 star or 3* Aegon and he’s the only dude I actually want😄
The only bad thing about Suicide Mastery is that they come after Recoil.
Hate Recoil.
Do you do this in cavalier monthly quests too?
I always die in versus just to the special 3. Fucking annoying since I know how not to get hit till then
Remember you used to be able to dodge sw first special dashing in while the bal would you. If you moved you evaded everything haha
Isn't this the popular "bait a heavy"?
I want na ægon in my account very badly😭
This is gold
