- Dalton Knecht was one of the very best players in college basketball this season getting SEC POY, All American honors and becoming a Naismith finalist as a transfer from Northern Colorado. Despite being older, Knecht's ability to shoot and score it in multiple ways and hang physically on the wing will likely get him looks as high as the Top 10.

had no idea he had any bounce like that. unsure how much it’ll matter in his role in the nba but demonstrates a good athletic baseline.
It always matters imo because potential in transition + back door cuts w true verticality w his shooting ability is lethal

Dalton is by far, my FAV CBBP. I loved watching him play on Rocky Top. He has it going on! Gonna miss him, but will be watching him in the NBA. 🧡🧡🧡

It's his feet/landing that intrigues me, he has a ability to float when he shoots and it has him landing with balance and stability that makes me think he's going to be a flamethrower shooter in the nba

Would love his fit in SA. One guy you mentioned as a age comparison but not a stylistic comparison is Cam Johnson.
SA needs to get guys that not only fit next to Wemby, but fit well in a modern NBA play style context. Back in 2019 Phoenix drafted for fit with Cam Johnson and SA doing the same thing here could make a lot of sense. For a team that needs offense getting a legit 6’6 40% shooter that can play in a multitude of movement sets like pop likes would probably be a dream scenario.
I agree. I think you have to truly understand what you have in Wemby. A lot of people want that superstar or star player next to him. I don't think we need that. We need a bunch of guys who play roles and don't go outside of that. Surround Wemby with 3 point shooters solid passers and defenders and you have something. I think Kenecht really fits what we need.

You love how he can move off ball and get to rim and he a great shooter and he can shoot off movement as well.
While his peak might not be high his floor is really good and he can definitely make an impact right now especially since he a older rookie and he played a lot college basketball
Looking at this video he reminds me of Corey Kispert of the Wizards a really good driver and a really good three point shooter especially off of movement

Baylor had a great year but didn’t get as much national coverage as Dalton.
I think Knecht has more three level scoring and shot creation and is a little better defensively. Scheirmann is underrated though

this dude cannot play defense well enough to be more than a role player at his size. at least doug mcdermott is big enough to put a body on forwards. what is any team going to do with a guy who is too small to guard forwards and too slow to guard wings?
