There is quite a few problems with the way this trebuchet works. If you watch Tom Stanton's trebuchet videos, he explains the phisics ( please excuse the spelling) behind how a trebuchet works. Also, the nova trebuchet episode is pretty cool to. But still a very cool video capturing the power of a trebuchet.

The extremity of the arm doesn't need to be as thick as your counter weight section. For the counter weight, you didn't consider the centripetal acceleration and only when in bruteforce mode of adding material. Instead, you could have put the beams perpendicular to your pivot to make it hold stronger by using less material.
i made a trebuchet in my backyard and its arm is 1 foot on the counterweight side and 5 feet on the sling side. the sling is 4 feet long, and this works well enough to fling a tennis ball over a 2 story house with 35 pounds in the bucket at id say 50 mph.

You should’ve used a fixed counterweight. I bet that wouldve been easier because Polybridge doesn’t seem to like moving parts very much.
