AvionRC nexa 3.5 nice looking quad and seems to fly great for some mid range to some freestyle flying. Great review and motor points between 1804+ and 1604 motors.
Great review, thanks Albert! I appreciate your thoughts on the different micro class size's characteristics. My current 3.5 build has tmotor 1604 2800kv, really like how it flies. Using the Smolyeet 3.5 frame if you haven't seen that yet. Cheers!
This looks like a MUCH better version of the quadmula F35. My F35 broke two arms in a really tiny crash and I lost an O3 air unit. Really disappointed in that frame. Was hyped by so many people on Facebook. All a bunch of lies!
Nice looking 3.5" build. Well thought out component selection. Looks fun to fly. I fly a Grinderino 3.5", a popular size motor for it is 1605. So these 1604's are right in the ballpark. Happy flying everyone. 😎
Really interesting quad, and i agree completely on the motor choice. I run 1604s on 3 and 3.5inch I’ve tried 1804 and sub2550g it’s way too much motor for something that small
Yeah, I think some people like the giant motors because they can go to the moon at 100% throttle but that's the only thing those setups are good for. Even then, the fun only lasts a few seconds because there's no batteries that can handle the voltage sag.
First :) Great quad. great video. fully agree on the motor choice. I have been flying 3" and 2" (4s and 2s) and smaller motors with higher KV in general worked best for me
For some reason, I've seen 3.5 inch builds with 2407 motors which is just stupid. Their 3.5 inch build weighs more than my 5 inch build. What's the point? This BNF finally seems to get it and looks properly setup with a correct motor. Build quality looks excellent as well.
Hey Albert, Great Video. Would you recommend the Ikon over the Nexa? 3inch is available in both Series. Nexa with slightly bigger motors and a little heavier. Which one would be your pick (3inch)?
Best flying 3.5 inch I've ever seen personally. Not sure why most of videos I see from custom builds all look like they fly like trash? Anyone know why?
@ Thanks for the reply. Apologies, I meant 1404/ 1604. Avion RC advertise a 3 inch Nexa with the Tmotor 1604 as opposed the Ikon 3 with the brotherhobby 1404. I guess the point I’m trying to make is, what would be the best motor for that prop size?
I’ve have the Nexa 3 inch and I just swapped my props to the HQ quad(4) tip props and it made such a difference in power. The tri blades aren’t that great on the 3inch. But it’s my most reliable drone a Little tank.
Looks quality and exactly like the last one with the colours... could you say it's a premium babyape2 being 3.5" Coupled with bigger motors and a frame with choices? Changeable arms is a plus..look forward to the video on that little Ninja 😀
I just looked at the specs of the analogue version, good camera, better antenna, same output of vtx...upto 600mw ....how reliable are the components i wonder ?? Seems to be a good choice 👍🏻
I have a AOS EVO 3.5 frame with 1404 motors and I swapped it out with the exact same Tmotor 1604 3800kv and it flies so nice now. Still sub 250g as well.
I personally like 1804s on a 3.5in for freestyle. Feels like a 5in with that extra punch but in a small form factor. Sure, it won't meet the 250g cutoff but who cares haha If you're just cruising, sure a 1604 makes sense
@@jlarson42 thats awesome! I'm in the process of building a 3in GEP MSX with 1507 4200kV lol I was on the fence between that or 1506 4300kV but might as well give it all the beans 😂

Looks like a great flying model. Just a small sized 5-inch freestyle quad. Long flight times are always a plus.

Nice flight charateristics! Good flight time too!

Quadmula fanbois are like from a cult or something. They are a bunch of weirdos.

2407? Who are these idiots? Probably Bardwell Patreons, LOL.

I'd go with the Ikon. My preference is always for lighter.

Great review. I’m stuck between the 3 inch Nexa with the 1607 motor’s or the Ikon 3 with the 1407. Which would you say has more speed & punch?
Just to clear things up, the Nexa is 3.5 inch and 1604 motors and the IKON 3 is 3.0 inch with 1404 motors. Obviously the Nexa has more power.

The downside to quad blades is a significant decrease in flight time.
Nice looking quad. Great flying.
Sweety quad
Awesome flying and review, Albert! 😃
Looks like a pretty fun quad!
Stay safe there with your family! 🖖😊

Cool!
They updated the stand packs. Good jop Avion rc.
what are stand packs?

I have RCinPower 1507 3800kv motors on my Grinderino. Definitely not less than 250g, but a blast to fly. 😎

To stay under 250, for 3.5 y fly 1404 and they perform very well
