Another absolute diamond of a song by Lennon. I consider this in the same league as I am the Walrus, where the music and lyrics create their own bubble of a universe.
It’s been 44 years since John was murdered and you’re still bringing up his flaws? And by the way he has admitted and confessed his flaws in song and interviews. Isn’t it time that you forgive him?
It may not be a matter of forgiving him, but of recognizing a side of someone that you didn't know before. Speaking for myself, I only found out recently about John Lennon's treatment of his son. It shows me that for all of his seeming greatness and introspection, he was really no more wise or deep than anyone else. @jwt208
The weather.
Awesome video. I love this song. I've probably played it over 1000 times
"Rain" is one of my favourite Beatles songs. And for good reason.
It would have to be the Beatles that casually released a song as essential as this one on a 'B' side. .

Thanks for all the great information and insights
One of my Happy songs!
McCartney wrote Mamunia, from Band On The Run album, as a response to Lennon's Rain. It was inspired by it.
another one of my favorites… mostly Ringos drumming
I used to go to a bar and always played this on the jukebox...
I learned the bassline (one of the greatest!) through osmosis.
Great interpretation. On point!

I love the Beatles but couldn’t understand how a man preaching love and peace treated his first wife and son. Sorry John RIP.

@@twj2002 Yes I'll forgive him - as soon as Julian does ...
It's about nothing. John had a true gift for coming up with something from nothing. Meanwhile Harrison came up with Something.
