    Thank you for this video. I also use the Opelon stretch fiber and double it but never thought to pull the loop through when I knot. I've been using small bails to add charms and hide the knots but this looks great too. Will try over the weekend.

    I have bought all kind of stretch cord, beadalon elasticity which is 0.8mm, then diy clear stretch cord .8 mmm then i have stretch magic 1.5mm and now I see yours. I am so confused about what size mm I should use. I probably have more in my stash but i was wondering can I use any of these because i am starting to spend a lot on money on stretch cord clear and would like to use what I have. Can you give me some idea if the ones I have are good to use. I know the one you use is most preferred but please let me know. Thanks. I have to finish watching your video. Nor

      The diameter of the stretch cord depends upon the hole size of the beads. YOu alwarys want to use the thickest cord that you can that will fit in the bead hole. In my tool box, I have the following sizes: .5mm (for pearls and tiny beads) .7mm flat cording ( for use when doubling the cord like in this video), .7mm round (again - for small hole beads that can fit a cord larger than .5mm). 1mm (I like to use this when I have either a bail or large hole to hide the knot in), 1.5mm and 1.8mm rounds (for use with large hole wood and large hole gemstone beads and for heavy beads). Sorry I took so long to answer, but I hope you find this helpful!

    • @eosdesignsstudio629
      @eosdesignsstudio629  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      If your bead hole is too small, the knot may not chase inside. You can either try to make a larger hole in one of the beads with a bead reamer and hide the knot there - or, if you are using a charm, hand it from a bail with a large hole and hide the knot in the bail

    I love this video. I used the cement to glue and hide the bead however it causes the two beads to stick together. What are your thought on krazy glue? It dries quickly and my beads are sticking together.

    • @eosdesignsstudio629
      @eosdesignsstudio629  3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      HI Jennifer - thanks for watching my video. I never use crazy glue as it dries too brittle and can actually crack the elastic cording. The GS Hypo cement is made for gluing fibers. It may seem, by using the hypo cement that your beads are glued together, but they will not remain so. Just give the cord a little pull next to the beads and they will separate. I often do this about 10 minutes after I glue the item - then check it an hour or so later. If there is any residue from the glue on the bead, you should be able to peel it off - or, overtime, it will disappear on its own. I hope this helps!

    My experience with this glue was awful. It never stops discharging from the applicator, so it defeated the purpose of it being needle-width. No matter what I did, I ended up with too much gle because wiping one bead if glue away was instantly replaced by another. How do you make this glue behave?

    • @erinfarrell9961
      @erinfarrell9961 ปีที่แล้ว

      Get a paper towel and then take the top off of the glue and put a small dot of glue on the paper towel and then hurry up and put the top back on. After that take a toothpick and dip the end of it in a small amount of glue and place it on the knot with the toothpick It works very well!

Also, I am blind in my right eye so my depth perception is very bad. It takes me longer, but I enjoy doing it. Thank you for the needle tip. I’m gonna go make a bracelet now.❤
