Yo guys, as a German, this subject comes up every now and then and remembering my upbringing I've internalized that it generally is not okay for these companies to still exist today the way they do, because the people responsible were never sufficiently punished etc. pp. and their position today is a direct result of murdering millions of people (NOT FACTS THAT I RESEARCHED, stuff that popped up when I got to the segment). AFAIK, for example, Bayer was also involved in producing the gas. I have always accepted this to be valid, it does feel true intuitively and let's be real, it's probably also historical guilt that's systematically instillied to a certain degree, purposefully or not. So after this longass preface, you guys think there is no problem with this? I'm legit curious because I never challenged this viewpoint myself. Also I should clarify, I don't think abolishing the companies now makes sense, but I think their history would be very problematic and they probably should not have been able to flourish like this. Admitting and apologizing wouldn't hurt either I suppose (If they didn't).
Destinites, the Wikipedia article that destiny doesn't bother to read more than a sentence of and has no historical acknowledge of apparently, literally describes how IBM setup more subsidiaries in nazi controlled Poland and other European controlled states. They also continued to service and provide parts and material during the war. Once the US entered the war, our main corps in the us had to "cut ties", but many industrialists continued to support the Nazi government in back door ways. The real point that the Lance fella was not capable of pushing thru destiny rambling is that corporations and companies in general are not trustworthy for anything because they are inherently only interested in money. That was the only point of value that Lancelot fumbled forward and Destiny was to ignorant to understand the basics of cuz he has no idea about anything that happened past two years ago.
@@rexfordmorgan7552 saying that "corporations and companies in general are not trustworthy" is almost as loaded as saying "Hollywood is totally corrupt". Just because business involves making money doesn't mean it's always some nefarious scheme. That's just capitalism, and you have to take each case separately if you're really hoping to get anywhere with weeding out the corruption. There's typically a very very loud minority of individuals who stand for the absolute worst humanity has to offer, and a lot of them happen to be big CEOs and corporate shills etc. However, to just say that corporations and companies are all corrupt generally speaking, based on the actions of the only individuals in specific companies with actual palpable control and power, just sounds a little naive. It's also a tad unfair to the people working at the lowest rungs of a corporation, that don't really know a lot about the history of the company or the decisions the owners/investors are making, and just took the job because it has insurance benefits and allows them to feed their family in the midst of an economic drought during an international pandemic. Not everyone who has a job agrees with the moral hallmarks of said company, they just need the job and may not have any other choice other than going hungry or having their lights turned off. To be clear, I'm not saying you're wrong necessarily, but you need to be more specific when aiming your gun I feel like. When someone says "Hollywood is totally corrupt", that's true to an extent. I'm sure there are strange happenings at eyes-wide-shut parties, and illuminati club this and that and whatever, but there are also regular people just trying to get their movies made because they believe in their artistic merit. They're just normal, every-day Joes and Janes like you and me. When people complain about the government being corrupt, that's very very true as we have clearly seen played out before our eyes, but that's not necessarily indicative of EVERY government worker's corruption. Some people are just trying to make positive change from within the belly of the beast, and they can't really afford to hard charge with steel toed boots into someone's office, demanding they sign a bill/proposition or else. These people have to play by the rules, even if people around them are breaking every last one of them. And I get it, because the messiest job is admitting that there's some good, and some bad, and sitting down with tweezers and disinfectant and picking out every little piece of shrapnel. It takes a lot of work, a lot of discussion, and a lot of vulnerability. It's much easier to just throw the whole body out and say "well they were basically dead anyway" instead of doing the messy work and trying to save a life.
@The Traveler There are way shorter ways to not get the point. This is not about individuals and certainly not individual immoral sex or personal shit. It’s about how business in capitalism works and basic human incentives. Our law has overarching focus on incentivizing societal damage for profit. It’s not just the occasional ceo. It’s literally every industry across the board because the incentives are similar and the power dynamics are similar from Amazon to your local store in relation to worker and owner, business and consumer. So ibm was not uniquely evil in the thirties and forties, they were the standard. Just like now, every single fossil fuel company is actively hurting the world for the benefit of profit and they as an industry have spent billions for decades fighting every cost that would help people from lead additives to global warming. Pharmaceutical industry across the board overcharge Americans for huge profit and knowingly hurt poor people who literally die because they can’t pay the exorbitant cost. This isn’t an argument, this is just the reality.

Lance is a pretty uncommon name nowadays, but back in the medieval era people were named Lancelot. *This pun brought to you by this weekends Formula 1 coverage.*
@Don Shepard "some affiliation". They're a branch of the same organization. Could you seriously imagine if someone had donated to a charity that was directly connected to a large organization that had many of it's members step down due to being a part of the KKK? Your defense is so weird to me.
Yeah, id be pissed if I was charitable to Destiny and he claimed some stupid shit about my charity stream money. Of course I'd call him a piece of shit
@Don Shepard destiny was very obtuse on Serfs clearly wanting an apology for destiny's wrong take, but to be fair he did donate to an organization in which multiple branches and the worldwide org had many people step down for ideologically or monetarily supporting terrorism in the area. at best it's an optic misstep and Serfs 100% did not do his due diligence. at least, when comparing it to his standards on everyone else's actions.
@Don Shepard Lefties will do this shit regardless of what destiny does. He used to try to be good faith. I don’t frankly disagree with him. Terminally online lefties deserve everything that comes their way.
"I've always been good faith to you" No Lance, what you are, generally, is polite and nice, which is cool and all, but when you're being nice and polite while at the same time making dumbass arguments like, "The public figure who ran for office who uses his real name and state and who linked his account to his real name is being doxxed" then you are still being bad faith. The only reason you used that argument was that you thought Mike was on your "side" now that he's unpopular even among most left communities you can safely go against him.
How did Mike fall out of favour? I thought the bad bunny shit would have done him in but apparently he still had a following after that? Was it because he argued with vaush?
You sound like you're mind reading. I'd agree with the facts, but I wouldn't agree with the motive imprinting. He could have changed his mind after reviewing the facts. If you're going to accuse Lance of being dishonest for changing his mind you have to apply the same take to Destiny since he doesn't even go so far as admitting any wrong doing or even changing his mind in many cases.
This would only be applicable if you define good faith as: agreeing before the argument startet. Personaly, i prefer the definition to be as follows: Good faith is the presence of manners, and the possibility to sway the other persons position through sound reasoning, in a debate setting. It is also important to recognize that changing your position on a subject, even in good faith, may take a longer period of time than one debate. We could of course argue that lance has other motives for changing his position on the matter, but i do not think it was just that on its own. And even if that would be the case, is he bad faith because it was not destinys arguments that finally convinced him? destinys position held true regardless, and we can all be happy...
@@modusjunge7307 That's not what good faith means. Good faith means this- Person 1: I think ABC because XYZ Person 2: But XYZ isn't true and here's the evidence Person 1: Ah yes you're right, I guess I was wrong on that one That's all it means.
Yeah but there is a point where evidence should defeat the bias. For example I don't like Floyd Mayweather that much but because he keeps winning I can't deny him being a great boxer. This guy Serfs can't do that.
If Mike was a comic book hero he'd be Bruce from Batcave online, nobody would figure out his true identity because he went to great lengths to conceal it.

"he was a subcontractor, he didn't even work at Google and he worked in security" If Lance can't concede that he lost by the time the argument hits this point, then he is literally just brain dead. Either that or he's so afraid to concede for optics reasons that he's making himself look absolutely stupid. That was the funniest realization I've ever seen during a debate
I worked(and still know people) in security for G4S and was contracted out to Google and can explain the badge system. There is a color and visual difference to all badges and it denoted access level. Red and a single letter denoted a temp badge. Example a red badge with a "C" on was a temp contractor badge, "V" was visitor all have limited access if any at all. Red badge with name and photo is a perm contractor with tailored access. White badges were "Googlers" regular Google employees with tailored access. This be info that only some security persons would be told out right but any security officer could figure out by thinking about it.
Okay holy shit, that "it's a joke about the Holocaust" is so fucking disingenuous. Implying that bad things are bad is GOOD actually. Comparing an anti-semitic statement that goes as far as BadBunny's did to the Holocaust MAKES SENSE! She even put "solution" in her Tweet. What Lance did there is disgusting.
when he said that I lost my fucking mind, it's so blatantly disingenuous there's no way he's that stupid he just wanted to attack destiny for something lmao
@Sleeve T Rocks It was pretty disturbing looking at TheSerf's chat honestly, a lot of weird dehumanization of Destiny there. Destiny's chat was chill and memeing.
Apologies are useless anyway, like my old man always says: talk is cheap, action is what counts. If Lance REALLY wants to fix this he should stop being a spineless, backstabbing, bad faith actor.

Lance gives the most extremist take then just walks it back to annoyingly cherry-picked. His takes are the initial reaction that can easily be refined with a little thought.
Steven did the same thing with the Hamas accusations. He makes an accusation that he has to backtrack from and then just laughs it off. They both come off terribly.
As a person who works at a large high tech company, Lance has no idea how deeply integrated badges are and how important they are for controlling access and security.
I'd be interested to know, has Lance ever held a real job before? The concept of a name badge matching your government recognized name makes sense to literally anyone who has ever worked in an office, school, factory or private property that it doesn't need to be spoon fed to them yet here we are...
Yeah, where I work, different doors will let you in based on your badge access, and it's not even all that big of a tech company. It's incredibly important for security.

I like that in real time after Destiny says that some lefties support Hamas, everyone in Serfs chat goes 'no one supports hamas' then after a couple of minutes it's full of hamas support.
I bet if you brought up some of the stuff that's _in_ Hamas's Charter (i.e. there's a part that quotes the Quran where it says Judgement Day won't come until Muslims kill all the Jews), they'd lose their shit and say "wtf! Hamas doesn't believe that" and then you link it to them and they say they don't support Hamas. And then 5 minutes later they'd support Hamas again.
How did destiny not attack when Lance specified 3 times in a row "I've never called you a nazi 'in one of our conversations'". Like idk man seems like you might have called destiny a nazi outside of it
@Don Shepard I don't think Destiny should have done it but you have to admit that Lances chat is ALWAYS like that and literally thinks that Steven is actually a fascist Nazi who hates trans people. Look at Lances chat in any debate or discussion they have and his chat will be exactly like this.
@Don Shepard I think the fact that I said I don't think he should have done it should tell you that I don't think that it's okay and shouldn't be done.
@Don Shepard He has some blindspots and still fails to be objective in very specific circumstances. The reasons he doesn't feel the need to be objective or gets lazy are definitely because of lefties not doing so in the first place and he has said this a lot and he is right on this. This contradicts his other principles of never fucking over the discourse and never making it easier for your opponents to point out your lies and convert new people. Even really really really recently his whole discourse about never ever disputing obvious facts to conservatives even if they might lead to uncomfortable conversations or would be easier to move on from and reject, he posited correctly that this just turns off the new people and the people in the middle because the obvious facts are too obvious. He isn't perfect but he's definitely better than lefties in the way that he describes. As good as he is at it, he still does get distracted when he plays video games and misses out on argument points and refutations that he would see when he's focusing. Because he doesn't find conservatives interesting because they're insane and dumb he usually gets more engrossed in his games and doesn't pay as much attention to the debates with them when they do come around, he still comes out looking better but he's always more on point when he debates someone he's more interesting in debating which is lefties. This narrative initially came out as a criticism of him 'Going soft on conservatives' and people actually got banned from the stream by him for saying this but recently he seems to have accepted that he does do this and didn't explain why he changed his position. I'm slightly more free market than he is too.
To be fair, Destiny's chat is not immune to that either. There's a looot of yes-men there too, tho admittedly not as much as in Lance's chat by the looks of it lol.
@@DiddntFindANameLol I don't think Destiny's chat does it with people and figures I think they do it with points or arguments. Serfs is always trying to read some neferious motives into his right leaning opponents arguments. its kind of annoying and it kinda reminds me of Hasan from 2 or 3 years ago. Still weird IBM won't release documents of their financial dealings during WW2 so we could see if they still did business with Nazi Germany during the war

Destiny really gives serfs the best advice repeatedly throughout this…always make nuance a part of any position or claim. Beyond just helping to support/prove…it requires educating yourself far more than the talking points and headlines most people rely on. Hopefully the condescension (which is admittedly hilarious) that Destiny peppered Lance with throughout won’t make him blind to the advice…but I doubt it.
Destiny was wrong about the charity but Lance was wrong about literally every other point he brought up in this discussion. The IBM part was painful. Even though Destiny was wrong on the charity he still managed to play it off well just because he’s a much better debater than Lance.
It's debatable whether Lance even knew about that provision with the charity until he contacted them though. Also some of the money does go to organizational costs separate to the cause, it's in the complete statement he quoted.
Lance gave money to a company that gives money to a fringe Islamic group. Lance supported a company that supports a fringe group. Destiny wasn't even really wrong when you take a couple seconds to actually think about it. Lance thinks that just because none of his money specifically went towards those fringe groups, that he somehow spared the burden of helping them in any way. It's insanely idiotic and i wish Destiny would've pressed him just a bit harder on that.
The funniest part is Lance thinking Destiny owes him absolutely anything, Lance has never once been charitable or truly nice to Destiny, he has always either used him, or shit on him behind his back.

And destiny usually preemptively says history is not my thing I could be wrong - when he talks about something he doesn’t know is true. But how embarrassing is it that someone can debunk your entire claim within like two minutes of googling
People don't understand how tax write offs work. If you donate $100 to a charity, you don't get $100 off your taxes. You instead pay taxes as if you had made $100 less during the year. It basically deletes revenue entirely. So for instance, if the tax rate was 10% and you made $1000, your taxes would be $100. If you donate $100 to a charity, you don't pay $0 taxes now. You pay taxes on $900. So $90. It's as if the company didn't make that money at all, because they gave it all away. It doesn't benefit them financially, except maybe in the form of PR.
"My Charity for X cause I agree with is innocent because of degrees of separation." *10 minutes later* "IBM is complicit in the holocaust and bad for something they did 70 years ago because I need to chase that clout"

Good faith means this-

That's all it means.

@Don Shepard 1k comments
@Don Shepard That's such a density fan thing to say🤣
Islamophobia is such a fake manufactured word..... and using the word is a mistake. It leads to attention being diverted from clearly reprehensible behaviours and into arguments about the meaning of the word "Islamophobia." and its at that point, I stop taking anything they say serious.
I can’t wait to review this on stream on Monday 😇
As a Canadian, I apologize for how spinless Lance is.
Destiny couldn't even admit he was wrong about Lance funding Hamas.
Lance is pretty good... I didn't see a problem here tbh
@@za-ir5ni didn’t he literally say he was wrong and when presented with evidence he wasn’t aware of immediately changed his position
"You are doing so much heavylifting for a company that neither of us are getting sponsorships from" Believe it or not Lance you can defend something without getting paid for it
Lance: also talks shit about capitalism. Go figure lol.
Crazy to read both chats and see how they interpret what is said in completely different ways
I saw a comment on Twitter saying is “Destiny having a fash arc” LMAO Twitter leftists are so detached from reality it’s unreal
All these “Arc” jokes are just cringe.
@Don Shepard Nope. Not anymore bad faith than calling Destiny fascist.
He’s not even wrong that their connections are shady.
Lance is a complete joke.
Lance: IBM created a cataloguing system to categorise people for the purpose of concentration camps!!!
Destiny: IBM created them in 1933, over 10 years before they were discovered by the U.S.
Destiny: Introduces Lance to the census
Still weird IBM won't release documents of their financial dealings during WW2 so we could see if they still did business with Nazi Germany during the war
@@unsatiable3860 a corporation doing shady shit for a profit? *surprised pikachu face*
I really hate attacking people's looks, but Mizkif creeps me the fuck out.
Destiny's response to "I was actually the kid getting beat up" was hilarious.
Lance "IBM is complicate in the holocaust because they made there machines for a census in 1933 6 years before WW2 even started"
also Lance "My donation was just to the Canadian branch so it has nothing to do with the IDW who has all of the issues worldwide they just share a name " *sees the Canadian branch sends money to the IDW in audits*
100% he's such a spineless snake man
Having Serf's chat on screen was such a great idea. Thanks editor
This was a great example of "bad faith" debate techniques.
Serf is just mad he lost so bad to jf. He did not even understand the squirrel metaphor a JF staple.
I lost it at the Cole James Cash clip at the end. “Enough about me, actually, and more about myself.”
the whole time lances chat just goes “clip it”
Shows the only people who care about the debate on an intellectual level are the 2 people debating
That and “GOTTEM”, “WE GOT EM GUYS”. Pretty gross
Lance thinks good faith means only attacking you behind your back
Destiny was wrong about the charity but Lance was wrong about literally every other point he brought up in this discussion.
Destiny wasnt wrong. That money does goes to Fringe Islamic groups.
"I'm protesting Google cuz they make trans people wear there dead names on their name tags."
Yes, because Google bending the knee to Saudi Arabia's anti-lgbt ideals isn't a strong enough reason.
Edit: fixed the typo "were" to wear
Wut
The delusion starts with thinking that corporations of that size fundamentally care about any human over their bottom line, but a few PR campaigns seems to do enough to keep the collective consciousness at bay.
There are people from all colours, genders, sexual orientations, religions, heights and weights that suffer the repercussions from others benifits..
If you're posting online, just the fact you own a phone your connected to the internet, I'm sure somewhere along that production Chain multiple people were taken advantage of to some level and I'm some cases there is likely extreme negative consiquences, but if it was LGBT would that then need to be considered worse? No hate, It's just confusing how these terms are used so frequently to bolster arguments by a lot people who are looking to virtue signal
@@flimflama9333 Precisely. What I was trying to say was that those who try and virtue signal against corporations do so by picking some of the worst examples. For example someone would be upset at Cruella's dalmatian jacket isn't kosher rather than the fact she skinned dalmatian puppies to make it. If your going to be against something at least use a valid reason.
@@kanga2468 so true. But the weird part is do ppl doing this actually see the holes in their own logic but willingly proceed regardless? Or do they actually not grasp this concept and are genuinely nieve to it? That seems hard to believe
@@flimflama9333 because they are made by people looking to virtue signal, you said it yourself. Nothing to do with justice and everything to do with ego
“It’s homophobia to lay people off cause a certain percentage of them are going to be gay people” I can’t understand how this can come out of a human beings mouth without a trace of irony.
The dude's mentally challenged
Destiny 100% pulled me away from the Kyle Kulinski/Jimmy Dore types. Take it or leave it, that is the truth.
He’s been pulling me away from Crowder and Charlie Kirk over the past couple years to where I hardly ever watch them anymore. Look at us…who woulda thought
This Lance fella looks like he's tensing his whole body. Feel like I can see his high blood pressure. Why's he sweating that much, he's just sitting there.
Does Serf really not understand the difference between a Holocaust joke at the expense of an idiot like BadBunny, and a Holocaust joke at the expense of the actual Holocaust?
Bestiny of destiny
The point of the ID badge is to match your actual ID. So if security decide to stop you because they think something is off, they can check your real ID matches the name badge. Otherwise you could give anyone your name badge and just let them in
That part of the debate was so idiotic, talk about making an issue out of nothing...
Lance is hilarious, I’ve never seen someone constantly be so confident while never making a single valid point
the serfs seems to be really well spoken, but his trains of logic often have huge gaps without him realizing it, and he seems to be oblivious to his inability to figure out how big of a deal things should be, especially when he has an emotional response to a topic
i'm pretty sure he's completely unaware when he contradicts himself too. there's like zero self awareness
also his understanding of hypocrisy is so weird, i can barely figure out what he thinks it means
The way Lance says “Fanta” was the best part about the whole video.
Holy shit, best comment🤣
Damn after watching this I'm almost ashamed to be Canadian.
Did Lance just try to argue that Destiny takes positions to piss off lefties and one example of this is him joking that Badbunny sounded anti-semetic?
????
Leftoids live in an alternate reality. Serfs chat: “Lance is crushing this right now,” wat.
I cannot imagine that anyone is saying Lance is “winning” this. He’s an embarrassment.
the speed of his chat says a lot, but unfortunately it also means their messages stay on the screen longer
I'm in utter disbelief each time Destiny rips apart some huge assertions people make with a 30 second googling. Like a dog that can't fathom where the ball went no matter how many times you pretend to throw it. It's not that he's particularly skilled at it, but that these people have never done it themselves. Not one fucking time.
Yeah it's so funny. When he was just like 'see this is exactly why I don't believe anything you say' lmao
The fact that people are still debating whether distasteful comedy should be "allowed" is insane to me. Serfs got assmad at the Rittenhouse meme and didn't even realize it was a joke supporting HIS OWN POSITION.
Imagine a world where people gave others the benefit of doubt they give themselves
Man, this goes to show you can be a successful streamer - without knowing what the fuck you are talking about whatsoever or having to do any sort of research into the things you do talk about
i’m amazed Lance is so confident to say the things he does about things like the Google name tag saying or the IBM thing -- If I were him I would not be able to speak on it and I would be embarrassed if I did with such confidence
My man do you know who vaush is? He has the history knowledge of 4th grader
And destiny usually preemptively says history is not my thing I could be wrong - when he talks about something he doesn’t know is true.
But how embarrassing is it that someone can debunk your entire claim within like two minutes of googling
I guess being spineless also comes with the added 'perk' of being absolutely shameless.
At first I was like "ok maybe Lance isn't *that* bad faith", and then Steven reminds me of the Rittenhouse thing LMAOOOO
Yes, as an independent contractor. This is correct.
Eristocracy playing both chats I see pepelaugh
Wait what?
Hold up, is this meant to be a reference to something?
@@IBBMS if you pay attention to the onscreen chats u can see Eris in both dgg and Lance's twitch chat

"My Charity for X cause I agree with is innocent because of degrees of separation."
*10 minutes later*
"IBM is complicit in the holocaust and bad for something they did 70 years ago because I need to chase that clout"
"Thank you for not using the N-word against me" I LAUGHED SO LOUD I WOKE MY BROTHER UP
Are the people in Lance's chat serious? Actually, are they even aware of what they're typing? It's like they don't take in information, they only put it out.
I hate how Lance conflates Grindr with gayness constantly throughout this debate. Feels weird from a straight person.
So this was JF's plan. Wow.
If i remember correctly JF is the eugenics is everything dude ?
If so how was all this his plans.
@@71nxy47 I was making a joke about how JF masterminded the fallout between Steven and Lance.
He obviously didn't, just a joke.
It’s a minor point, but it irritates the hell out of me. The book Lance is describing is a non-fiction history book, not a novel...
Worked in a bookstore, that annoyed me a lot, lol.
57:44 - 1:03:48 I love how TheSerfs truly believes that every German in 1930's Germany supported the Nazis, there were a number of Germans who disavowed the Nazis, but had trouble going up against them because there loved ones were in danger at the time. Companies whether you liked it or not had no choice as they were held at gunpoint by a dictatorship, Lance loves to lecture people from the past on what they should have done but i would love to see what he would do under the exact same conditions.
1:08:50 Serfs claims to know things after reading a book and later admits he's not finished the book, classic socialist.
1:13:25 Destiny slam dunks TheSerfs here, pointing out the fact that TheSerfs wants to condemn these companies but is more than happy to gain free advertising from them, I'm getting the feeling of inconsistency from this socialist, what a surprise.
Lots of people like to talk separate Destiny footage into the lefty arc, the alt right arc, the jontron arc, the 2020 optics etc. Personally I don't care for politics, I'm just here for the gameplay. My Destiny arcs are separated by the game hes playing at the time. You can keep your Tonka arcs or your Trihex arcs, nothing tops the XCOM arc
Sorry fella but the DayZ arc reigns supreme
Eh, no game made after 1999 is good.
"So you're a massive fucking piece of shit, eh?". That "eh" at the end fucking slays me haha
