@@tomirvin1038 Hello, I am doing a deep dive on Lord of Illusions, to be released in a couple of weeks. If you have any insight, behind the scenes facts or anything else you would like to tell I would be honored to include it! Get in touch with the email address available on my channel page info if you are at all interested. The make up effects were brilliant on Nix and I'd really like to hear more.
The whole film-noir crossed with the occult stuff. I don't know if it had been done before Barker did it. Fascinating stuff. My door number even popped up in the film, which was a spooky coincidence.
The interviewer keeps interrupting his own questions, just as Clive is about to say something interesting he stops him as though he were afraid of what he might say. The irony of that being, that Clive Barker himself is very much aware of his own peculiar tendencies. Yet he still handled this semi-rude, interrupting interviewer with genuine politeness and honest, true-to-self answers. If that’s not a ringing endorsement of his ability to work within a system that normally hates men like him and his genius work, I don’t know what is…
Scott Bakula is very aptly described as being a Cary Grant-like figure in his roles. The same easy going "ah shucks" charm and good looks. Tom Snyder is perhaps a touch intrusive (a bit too much of the "when I did" and "what I feel"), still an entertaining interview
I worked on this movie.
Clive was awesome !
Thanks for posting.
What did you do?

I work for Steve Johnson's studio on all the makeup effects for Nix.

@@tomirvin1038 Did you meet Daniel von Bargen? He seemed like a nice man.
@@foruwantto3621 Yes, he was an extremely nice man. RIP

Welcome to the world of Tom Snyder. Watch the SNL imitation of him by Dan Aykroyd....spot on
Tom Snyder was supernaturally annoying, always, and super-supernaturally annoying in this one.
