If the tube coming out of the firewall has ridges on the bottom I would recommend sanding the ridges off with a dremel. This allows water to seep by the elbow. Also ford recommends using the long side down. I just fixed this issue on my f150 yesterday. I put a bead of silicone to seal the foam gasket before installing the elbow. Also used the 3m 3340 tape over the elbow to ensure it stays on. This is dryer vent tape from Lowes.
My truck is 2018 raptor. I had the leak from the back vents fixed , however, I still have the leak at the front drivers side . Now my question if it's the AC causing the problem leak would it soak both front sides or only the front passenger side? .
I believe just the passenger side. I have heard from other people that our models tend to leak around the front windshield and behind the dashboard and simulate the AC problem. So if you have it on the driver and passenger side, it might actually be a front windshield leak. Let me know what you find!
Actually I don’t think it did. The cabin leak from the AC was not actually causing any issue with the truck. I found that behind the back seat and behind the carpet/wall carpet that there are air vents (left and right side) behind the backseats. Leaves 🍁 had built up between the truck bed and the outside cabin and begun to push through those, causing that earthy boot 🥾 smell. U can actually see the vents in my speaker 🔊 install video. That was my issue with smell. A lot of other people were dealing with a leaky smell from the AC drain like in this video though. When I made this video I thought it was the AC drain

@@rawphysique I turned them just slide easier, as long as you fit under you should be fine, tire will not be in the way even if they are straight
