    This will be a part 1 of how I build a tile. Second part will be painting the tile.
    Still new to editing and being in front of the camera. But it's getting better I think and I am satisfied with the results so far.
    Please leave a comment on what you think I can improve or if you have any suggestions. And if you do like my content, consider becoming a Patreon. As a Patreon you will be able to decide what videos I'll create next, and help me continue making new videos.

    Great video. Thank you. A quick tip regarding green stuff - if you only use it for things such as filling gaps, instead of green stuff (which is expensive), try using Milliput mixed with isopropyl alcohol or methylated spirits. You can mix them together into a texture that is as creamy or as watery as you like and then use that to fill gaps or touch up imperfections. Far, far better than GS.

    • @MrLeonarddime
      @MrLeonarddime  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      For some reason your comment went into the 'Held for review' section.
      Thanks for the advice! I do have some milliput. So I'll take a look at that the next time.

    Hello, love your videos. I have 3 sets of dark uprising but at the moment we just make a table when we want to play.
    I'm thinking about making tiles like yours in de video.
    But don't jou have a problem to see the line of sight from a model and if his or her target gets half or full cover?
    Also mesuring en getting to the models with your hands, how do you do that with so much terrain?
    Regards, love your work
    Dirk

    • @MrLeonarddime
      @MrLeonarddime  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hello and thank you. Line of sight usually isn't a problem to be honest. The gaming tables are not so large and seldom become an issue. Also, I have seen some players use small mirrors (like the ones dentists have) to draw line of sight in tight corners.
      Moving the models isn't that hard either. Most details and objects are along the walls and glued on. It might look messy and a lot in the way, but it is fairly easy to move models around. Never really encountered a big issue here to be honest.

    Awesome work ❤️. It looks like you have magnetized the Walls at the edge of the tiles :) what magnets have you used :) ?

    • @MrLeonarddime
      @MrLeonarddime  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      This is the only time I have ever magnetized. This is because of the savings on walls. I used door frames as walls. And this lead to ugly sides.
      The magnets are those standard magnets used for miniature gaming. I think mine are from green stuff world.

  • @bloodbarage
    @bloodbarage 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    You should use green stuff putty. a bit easier. Also, How do you think the zone mortalis doors could be used to make a door big enough for a tank to go through?

    Though you can save alot by going for a 3rd Party Seller which brings down the price to 184€

    Why on earth are you not casting your parts? The savings are so immense.

    • @MrLeonarddime
      @MrLeonarddime  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Because I love original parts. And I also get a good price at the local game store as a commission builder for them. So in the end. It’s pretty much the same price and I do not have to waste time on casting. I have done that before and it takes time to do properly.

    • @garfieldwithissuez
      @garfieldwithissuez 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@MrLeonarddime Fair enough, although I have found that spending a few hours making really good molds lets me turn out pieces by the hundreds for less than the cost of one Box but I'm also in the United States and don't mind working with resin as opposed to the original plastic which I will admit is much much nicer.
      If I could get the same amount of parts in plastic I would happily use plastic solvent instead of CA glue any day of the week and twice on Sunday. 😝😝😝

    • @MrLeonarddime
      @MrLeonarddime  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@garfieldwithissuez haha, and that is the thing. I really dislike resin. But I'll admit, or course you can make savings on resin moulds. But its the time factor I am mostly worried about. Creating the mould, casting, waiting for it to cure, cleaning and then assembly with super glue.

    • @garfieldwithissuez
      @garfieldwithissuez 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@MrLeonarddime Oh no doubt, especially if you are someone who doesn't have experience making molds on level other than dabbling. I've been casting things for the last 20 years. I started in high school, we had just about every kind of sharp known to man and I took them all everything from metal and wood shop where I learned to do lost wax and green sand casting all the way through plastic fabrication and working with resins and again jewelry grade wax casting so it is much easier for me than probably 95% of people out there. Hell I'm on a first name basis with several people at several different companies that make casting materials lol.

      @@garfieldwithissuez that’s very interesting. Love a good back story. 😊 I have tried casting pretty intensively for maybe 2-3 year 12 years ago.
      I did finally got around to getting good results. Heck I could even mass produce Imperial Guard Elysians (that power fist they had was hard to get right in the mold).
      But... I kind of lost interest. Don’t know why.
      Anyhow. I’ll keep doin videos and continue use plastic crack as a source material.
