@Duperbash these Arrma $300 trucks are a huge value! I dig the idea of the monster Senton and it still takes the hits just like we can expect from Arrma! Awesome show! I made a monster of my old 2wd Slash and it performs and looks great but rattles and gets squirrely at 40mph+. lol Senton is obviously the way to go for the same mod and still better on the wallet. Nice run! The 3s Senton is an awesome bit of kit for the money! I got a bit to ballsy with my jumping yesterday and broke a front lower.....but It did take a pounding prior to that bad landing.

Wow what a perfect bash location lol. Beat the shot out of that Arrma, too.. Which is why Im here. Looking for a DURABLE 1/10 SCT 2 or 4wd, this looks like it will fit the bill. I was running my Associated SC10 2wd on a local dirt track but just can't keep the delicate transmission going reliably. 75% between this and a Proline SCT but it's a kit. Thanks
Awesome, sounds like a 20t pinion for the Granite now, usually the 1/10s seem a bit average when there's 1/8s running around but this 3s line up is awesome

Nice Flight! How do you like the Trenchers on the Granite? I plan on trying some on mine but no time yet. You should consider swapping the bushings out for bearings in the steering rack of the Granite. Mine had a lot of slop in them from the get go and the new 5x10x4 bearings drastically tightened it up.

I am running an Arma sentence Mega with a 57 tooth spur gear and a 19 tooth pinion with 2.8 Dora tracks tires and it's overheating like crazy can you help

I run Duratrax 1/8 buggy Lockups on my latest Senton 4s conversion, but haven't tried their Six Packs or Lock up MT wheels 🤔. Pretty sure others have. Just be careful to watch the weight. Hey Rich I was wondering you had said in a previous video you put the tekno 107mm shocks on the granite and I was wondering that didn't make it too short in the rear?? I put on some 110mm shocks in the rear and they seem a bit too short. Like if the truck is off the ground the a arms in the rear sit kinda level. Like there is not enough travel on them. Did you have any trouble? Was that the size you put in the rear? Thanks for any advice bud.
Hey Chris 👊. I don't have the lengths handy. My Tekno eb48.4 shocks were definitely not too short. They were actually a bit long, but worked out Killer. Swapped front for front, rear for rear straight off my Tekno. Just an FYI, just tested Typhon V2 shocks on my Senton with 35lb oil and Granite wheels 😍. They are the exact same length as the BLX 3s shocks. Not as plush as Tekno, but much less bouncy than the stock dampening. 🍻😎💪👊👊

See I bought some hot racing 110mm shocks for the rear and stock were around 116mm so now I'm getting the problem where when the truck is off the ground the a arms don't drop as low as they used too. They almost stay level, I mean they drop a little bit when completely off the ground. Do you think that would be ok? Thanks for the help my man!
@@cwatson42785 that will work, but it's less than ideal 😲. The ride will be much bouncier over bumps and landings will be harsh. Other thing is extra strain on rod ends. I say try it, but ideally you have more shock stroke. 👌

How do you like this with the bigger tires over the granite? I’m used to bashing short course trucks and currently have a monster 2wd SC10 and not sure on the shorter wheelbase of the granite or other 1/10 monster trucks.
This setup is MAD fun 😍 and runs cool still👊. The electronics have really impressed me. The Senton definitely gets the power down easier than the shorter Granite. Just did 2 jump park bashes yesterday with V2 Typhon shocks on (35 weight oil) and it was even better😰🤘🤘😎💪👊👊
@@one4x4nut the wheels edges extend about an inch past the body so trimming and raising the body posts a must. Stands about 13.25 front, 13.5" rear with toe in. I'm loading other stuff first, but will load the Typhon shock upgrade vid/run hopefully soon.🍻
This rig is Mad Fun 😍. The upgrades are up to you. I'd atleast drop in rubber sealed bearings in the slipper housing and rear input gear soon. They get hammered with dust and seize easily 👀. One guy on the ARRMA 3&4s Facebook Forum came up with a mod where he drills/Dremels out a spur gear slit in the chassis to allow dust and dirt to exit the slipper box 👍. This would be the ultimate solution. I upgraded my front steering spindles to GPM aluminum ones. They're cheap to replace, but I got tired of them snapping with harder hits. This rig has been ultra durable for me overall. 🍻🚀🚀😎💪👊👊

Aaron Jean I always favor the MX28s 😍. Thought I would try both anyways just to see. Both work great with this setup 👌. I also swapped cuz we did a bash with the Proline Pro MT4X4 vs the Granite drag racing 😅😅. My other (extra) set of MX28s are braided for my Truggified Typhon 💪. WMD-C35 there will be soon👊. We did several drag races in the street and dirt 😜. 4s vs 3s was damn close 😱. Unfortunately, there was a typical high speed cartwheel involved (as we're serious guys racing for pink slips 😅) and the Proline JX servo crapped out before we could do a full side by side bash session 😰. Question Bro maby for your next vid. Could you put a piece in your vid showing us your Arrma Granite front tires and the bearings. From stock The bearings seem to come in and out to much for my liking on my new car. Or maby that's totally normal. It is a small tolerance but I was wondering if you did anything to your front bearings to tighten up the play from out to in that they move. I've noticed this too actually. There's more play in the front axels/hubs then the rear. You could use spacers to tighten things up. I've thought about it, just haven't done it yet. 😜

Evan Michelson thanks brother 😂!!! Ease of maintenance varies more on design than scale. Most 1/10 might be easier than the 1/8. These particular BLX 3s rigs are very easy to work on👌. Arrma did a wonderful job with the modular design. Don't be discouraged to try a 1/8 either though. Once you get into them, the parts all make sense. Just takes basic quality tools and some practice 🤘🤘😎💪👊👊
I'm not sure there's a better between the two 🤔. Both are great values IMO. The Granite is better for stunts and skatepark duties with easier flips, air control, and tighter turning radius. The Senton has more protection for hits and tumbles with the nerf bars, bigger bumpers and SCT body and can get the power down easier being a bit longer wheelbase. It's better for drifting too. It just comes down to preference really. 🍻😎💪👊👊

The Senton rips hard, drifts Killer, and jumps well too. The Senton has better protection and might get the durability vote because of it 🤔. I need to get the Senton out to the jump park again to try it with these Granite wheels. Tdogg ran it, but I didn't try it. I really love both trucks. 🤘🤘😎💪👊👊

The 6s will feel much more grounded as the heavier rig. From what I've seen, the 3s may actually have better handling🤔. 6s is a different animal so that's a tough question. You'll sacrifice pure power perhaps, but the 3s is ridiculously quick being so light and nimble. 🤘🤘😎💪👊👊

F Garcia it's more like the BR with different body and wheels I guess but much faster cuz I'm using the Senton 20T pinion instead of the Granite/BR 15T. Also takes hits better cuz the Senton has huge bumpers and nerf bars. I'm getting mixed feedback about the BR stock tires 😕. I'm still playing with this setup. Probably going to try Typhon shocks with really soft springs. Have several spares. Just cut my Senton wheel wells this morning 😱...Lol. At least that body should stay mounted a bit better and represent ARRMA 💪🤘🤘😎💪👊👊

I found stock to be not too great imo so went to ones from my RC MT10E, then tried some Granite 4x4 tires...both of these rubbed too much without offset. Lately have some Duratrax Pistol ST tires on the BRCC and it seems pretty cool so far and fun to run on smaller paws... looks great too. I then learned about the 6mm offset Hot Racing hub extenders so next week I'll have those and some mx28 Badlands. Once I get to where I don't roll in turns I'll start playing with the pinion / gearing. These $300 Arrma trucks stay solid long enough to try so many different combos... I can't wait to get another but can't decide which one. Just picked up a Typhon 6s so it'll probably be the Senton next to trugify per your recommendation....lol. I really need em all but need to learn how to reel in the spending! 🍻😉💸💸

I made a monster of my old 2wd Slash and it performs and looks great but rattles and gets squirrely at 40mph+. lol Senton is obviously the way to go for the same mod and still better on the wallet. Love it! Keep killin it and please keep on showing more of these great Arrma vids!

Nice run! The 3s Senton is an awesome bit of kit for the money! I got a bit to ballsy with my jumping yesterday and broke a front lower.....but It did take a pounding prior to that bad landing.

Awesome, sounds like a 20t pinion for the Granite now, usually the 1/10s seem a bit average when there's 1/8s running around but this 3s line up is awesome

Have you changed the pre load for jumps at all on the stock struts?

Nice Flight! How do you like the Trenchers on the Granite? I plan on trying some on mine but no time yet. You should consider swapping the bushings out for bearings in the steering rack of the Granite. Mine had a lot of slop in them from the get go and the new 5x10x4 bearings drastically tightened it up.

I run Duratrax 1/8 buggy Lockups on my latest Senton 4s conversion, but haven't tried their Six Packs or Lock up MT wheels 🤔. Pretty sure others have. Just be careful to watch the weight. Hey Rich I was wondering you had said in a previous video you put the tekno 107mm shocks on the granite and I was wondering that didn't make it too short in the rear?? I put on some 110mm shocks in the rear and they seem a bit too short. Like if the truck is off the ground the a arms in the rear sit kinda level. Like there is not enough travel on them. Did you have any trouble? Was that the size you put in the rear? Thanks for any advice bud.
Hey Chris 👊. I don't have the lengths handy. My Tekno eb48.4 shocks were definitely not too short. They were actually a bit long, but worked out Killer. Swapped front for front, rear for rear straight off my Tekno. Just an FYI, just tested Typhon V2 shocks on my Senton with 35lb oil and Granite wheels 😍. They are the exact same length as the BLX 3s shocks. Not as plush as Tekno, but much less bouncy than the stock dampening. 🍻😎💪👊👊

See I bought some hot racing 110mm shocks for the rear and stock were around 116mm so now I'm getting the problem where when the truck is off the ground the a arms don't drop as low as they used too. They almost stay level, I mean they drop a little bit when completely off the ground. Do you think that would be ok? Thanks for the help my man!
@@cwatson42785 that will work, but it's less than ideal 😲. The ride will be much bouncier over bumps and landings will be harsh. Other thing is extra strain on rod ends. I say try it, but ideally you have more shock stroke. 👌

How do you like this with the bigger tires over the granite? I’m used to bashing short course trucks and currently have a monster 2wd SC10 and not sure on the shorter wheelbase of the granite or other 1/10 monster trucks.
This setup is MAD fun 😍 and runs cool still👊. The electronics have really impressed me. The Senton definitely gets the power down easier than the shorter Granite. Just did 2 jump park bashes yesterday with V2 Typhon shocks on (35 weight oil) and it was even better😰🤘🤘😎💪👊👊

@@one4x4nut the wheels edges extend about an inch past the body so trimming and raising the body posts a must. Stands about 13.25 front, 13.5" rear with toe in. I'm loading other stuff first, but will load the Typhon shock upgrade vid/run hopefully soon.🍻

This rig is Mad Fun 😍. The upgrades are up to you. I'd atleast drop in rubber sealed bearings in the slipper housing and rear input gear soon. They get hammered with dust and seize easily 👀. One guy on the ARRMA 3&4s Facebook Forum came up with a mod where he drills/Dremels out a spur gear slit in the chassis to allow dust and dirt to exit the slipper box 👍. This would be the ultimate solution. I upgraded my front steering spindles to GPM aluminum ones. They're cheap to replace, but I got tired of them snapping with harder hits. This rig has been ultra durable for me overall. 🍻🚀🚀😎💪👊👊

I also swapped cuz we did a bash with the Proline Pro MT4X4 vs the Granite drag racing 😅😅. My other (extra) set of MX28s are braided for my Truggified Typhon 💪. Could you put a piece in your vid showing us your Arrma Granite front tires and the bearings. From stock The bearings seem to come in and out to much for my liking on my new car. Or maby that's totally normal.
It is a small tolerance but I was wondering if you did anything to your front bearings to tighten up the play from out to in that they move.
My tires move in and out minor but the back is Rock Solid Beautiful tight / perfect 👌🙂.

I've noticed this too actually. There's more play in the front axels/hubs then the rear. You could use spacers to tighten things up. I've thought about it, just haven't done it yet. 😜

Evan Michelson thanks brother 😂!!! Ease of maintenance varies more on design than scale. Most 1/10 might be easier than the 1/8. These particular BLX 3s rigs are very easy to work on👌. Arrma did a wonderful job with the modular design. Don't be discouraged to try a 1/8 either though. Once you get into them, the parts all make sense. Just takes basic quality tools and some practice 🤘🤘😎💪👊👊
I'm torn between the Senton and granite? Which one is better ? I see the Senton cost more money
I'm not sure there's a better between the two 🤔. Both are great values IMO. The Granite is better for stunts and skatepark duties with easier flips, air control, and tighter turning radius. The Senton has more protection for hits and tumbles with the nerf bars, bigger bumpers and SCT body and can get the power down easier being a bit longer wheelbase. It's better for drifting too. It just comes down to preference really. 🍻😎💪👊👊

Perfect Blitz thanks brother 😂!!! That's a tough question Brother 🤔. Both trucks are MAD fun and capable. The Granite is better for flips and stunts and probably takes it at the skateparks. The Senton rips hard, drifts Killer, and jumps well too. The Senton has better protection and might get the durability vote because of it 🤔. I need to get the Senton out to the jump park again to try it with these Granite wheels. Tdogg ran it, but I didn't try it. I really love both trucks. 🤘🤘😎💪👊👊

The 6s will feel much more grounded as the heavier rig. From what I've seen, the 3s may actually have better handling🤔. 6s is a different animal so that's a tough question. You'll sacrifice pure power perhaps, but the 3s is ridiculously quick being so light and nimble. 🤘🤘😎💪👊👊

F Garcia it's more like the BR with different body and wheels I guess but much faster cuz I'm using the Senton 20T pinion instead of the Granite/BR 15T. Also takes hits better cuz the Senton has huge bumpers and nerf bars. I'm getting mixed feedback about the BR stock tires 😕. I'm still playing with this setup. Probably going to try Typhon shocks with really soft springs. Have several spares. Just cut my Senton wheel wells this morning 😱...Lol. At least that body should stay mounted a bit better and represent ARRMA 💪🤘🤘😎💪👊👊
@@richduperbash2966 I've tried many different tires on my Big Rock CC. I found stock to be not too great imo so went to ones from my RC MT10E, then tried some Granite 4x4 tires...both of these rubbed too much without offset. Lately have some Duratrax Pistol ST tires on the BRCC and it seems pretty cool so far and fun to run on smaller paws... looks great too.
I then learned about the 6mm offset Hot Racing hub extenders so next week I'll have those and some mx28 Badlands. Once I get to where I don't roll in turns I'll start playing with the pinion / gearing. These $300 Arrma trucks stay solid long enough to try so many different combos... I can't wait to get another but can't decide which one. Just picked up a Typhon 6s so it'll probably be the Senton next to trugify per your recommendation....lol. I really need em all but need to learn how to reel in the spending! 🍻😉💸💸

I put some terremoto 1/10 shocks on the front. Good to know about the big rock/ senton. Gotta reel in my spending too. Selling off a bunch of my stuff for new kits lol.
