One more thing as it was stated before. Rolf's version was the one that you were worried about being blocked earlier in the video. His version is definitely Latin. It's salsa. That's why Floor was worried about what to do with his music. When she found out about that song, she then took it upon herself to not only learn the lyrics phonetically (she doesn't speak Spanish at all), but completely change the tempo of the song, and turn it into a Latin power ballad. That gave the song an entirely different meaning and feel, which brought new life to it in the Latin community. As I stated earlier, this song was released as a single the day after this very show aired. It hit #1 in Argentina, and Peru, top 5 in Chile and Bolivia, and top 10 everywhere else in central and south America. She now sings this song in her solo shows. That's how good this - and she - is.

It is not said enough, just how great the band is. Floor liked them so much that she hired as many of them to be her backup band on her solo tour. Only a few couldn't, because of prior commitments. When you start reacting to her Amsterdam concerts, you will recognize many of them.

LOVE this song from Beste Zangers hearing her sing in a language she doesn't speak and slaying it. The best part is watching Rolf's face beaming with "OMG this is MY song!!!!"
I wish we could watch the individual performances again from the German version of this show last year called Sing Meinen Song.

Yes, she herself found her way to solo again, due to this program. She got encouraged to make a show of her own, and she did. After that she started writing her own songs again. Also Henk got a reboost on his career, Emma and Rolf got deeply into the Dutch music scene. And perform more than before.
Que Se Siente translates to English as "How does it Feel?". As Rolf said, he wrote this as a letter to his girlfriend at the time who broke up with him, and he was completely devastated by it. So instead of writing the letter and sending it to her, his producer told him to send it to him instead, and they wrote the entire album based out of that letter, and this was one of the signature songs from that letter. His girlfriend moved on at that time to someone else, in which her parents had stated that she was better off without him. So he's asking her, "how does it feel".
Floor is the most versatile singer I know of...as everyone knows, she can even sing the phone book! But seriously, she is an amazing musician, she just slips effortlessly into the genre of music that she happens to be singing, be it rock, metal, ballad, pop, foreign language whatever...she just excels at what she does, she is a perfectionist. She is a one off, we will not see her like again.
I think Floor’s version actually was very popular in Central and South America.
Yes! That is my favorite song from that show. I am glad you are going for the full ride with Beste Zangers. There isn't a bad song in the batch.
Henk and Emma also did a song together on this show. Vivo per Lei. It is in Italian and English. If you like Henk you should check this out 😉. Or Tim Akkerman's version of Nemo, which he sung for Floor....
Tip: like the original, Floor's version also hit the No1 charts in Dominican Republic 🤪

I think this is the song that EVERYONE was convinced .....ok this woman can sing ANYTHING .
The original version was in the part you partially cut out because of copyright block. Yep, believe it or not, that was the same song. Rolf wrote it as a Caribbean Salsa. Floor metallized it! Plus, she added another new language to her list of eight languages she can sing in.
Band is fantastic. That why she hired many of them for her live shows :)
