If I remember rightly, the German BF109 / ME 109 had the same spring loaded leading edge slat design which allowed pilots to continue to climb [to escape being shot down?] at a steeper angle & for longer than just about any other fighter in the first half of WW2 & perhaps even longer.
I am a totally disabled veteran but I can not build one myself, I would love a cruiser just aircraft with the most powerful engine that is not a Rotax . I want to go places not do STOL. BUT ago places, meet up with my Army buds. This is all true.

I think they changed the 2 pieces slats for once single slat

Are Just Aircraft's kits all fabric? The fuselages look fabric covered.
Yes they have a steel fuselage covered in fabric, and the wings are ladder construction with ribs covered in fabric.
