Another terrific video! One of my favorite traditions when visiting Paris is grabbing a few macarons from the nearby Pierre Hermé and snacking on them in the Saint Sulpice square.

On our last visit to Paris we stayed in the 6th and really loved it. And we spent a fairly long time staring at that weird statue. We couldn’t figure it out either.

We are going to be there soon. It appears on the Saint Germain des Pres website that there is mass on Sundays at 11:00 a.m. We read that Saint Germain gets parishioners who would normally attend Notre Dame, and wonder if the masses are overflowing because of this…if anyone has any insights.

Thank you, merci, gracias! We’ve been waiting for this one especially. Our apt is on Rue Jacob and this episode hits HARD! Cannot wait to walk those streets.

We spent a month in France this spring which included 2 weeks in Paris. Checked out the Peleton for coffee as we'd become familiar with it from watching your earlier videos. At the end of our holiday, we discussed how it's been our 4th visit to Paris and maybe we don't need to include it on our next trip to France. Now, 4 months later and due in part to watching your videos...we want to go back to Paris.

I know this is an older video but I went to Comptoir du Marche THREE times on our two week trip. If you like natural wine in a vibe that’s very different than the 6th overall, it’s a great spot. The 6th can be a bit sleepy, especially mid-day, so Marche can be a lifesaver. The Cafe du Clown next door (the silly one you mentioned) is one of the very few decent coffee spots I found. Coffee desert over there!

Love the 6th. I could sit in Luxembourg for hours with a book and watch the world go by. ...

I absolutely love the 6th. We had a fantastic “formule” picnic in the Jardin de Luxembourg last time we were there. I’ve never been to the market so that’s one for my next (hopefully soon!!) visit. Cheers Jay. 🙏👍

Thanks for the Place de Furstenberg. It is one of my favorite places in Paris. You didn't mention it but it is the place for Delacroix, the artist. Maybe in a future 20 in 20 you could point out where famous/important people have lived or worked. There are a lot of them in the 6th. For me that information brings the area more alive. Restaurants & coffee shops & bars come & go but historical addresses maintain their history regardless of what is located at any given address at any point in time.

Wonderful vidéo. I absolutely second the recommendation that the Luxembourg Gardens are a lovely destination for strolling, picnicking, and people-watching!

Love that Paname beer! On a related note: you should do a new series: #1 in 20. Places to find a public washroom in every arrondissment. In May, my poor wife had to wait a painfully long time for the auto restroom behind Sacre Coeur - it took a minute or so to self clean between each user. There were about 10 women in line. True confession - I just found a bush. I suspect I am not alone and that we could all use some Paris bathroom guidance - many streets and areas had a rather distinct, don't know how else to say it, urine smell. Salute!
