Finally completed this with 300 (Kanbei, 22 days). Thus, I have for the first time ever completed all the war room maps in AW2 with 300. Never thought I'd be able to. What a trip.
I think this map is the hardest to beat but I have the hardest time getting a perfect score on Terra Maw. There must be a HQ cap cheese strat that I haven't found. I always get stuck in a painful slog that takes 35+ days.
@@chrispratt3666 I know its hard to believe, but I have a 300 rank run on Terra Maw with ZERO death using Grit, who is surprisingly good on this map in ways one wouldn't expect. Turns out battleship(!) spam in this map is a good thing.
@@chrispratt3666 Terra Maw was the last map i got an S rank on, but not a perfect 300 score, i think its like 286 points with Sturm, and before that 19 days with Kanbei 270 A rank and 36 days with sturm even lower 223, but I have seen ppl get 300 points with Sami, its my next goal after getting Risky vale to 300 points With Kanbei or Sturm then if my sanity allows it maby with Sami.
Nice job on the perfect score. You made an extremely difficult map look downright doable. Your speed of play also makes this video much nicer to watch than a lot of AW content out there. The Grit player mentioned in the another comment takes so long with his turns that I couldn't even get to the end of the video. Anyway I searched out this video because I was finally able to get my own perfect score on this map! I used Kanbei just like you. I try to avoid mirror matches in the war room but Kanbei is too perfectly suited to this type of defensive holdout. When I was younger I was only ever able to beat this with Sturm and I never managed a score over 292.
I'm surprised I haven't seen anyone use Sami on this map yet. She can easily steal 2 of Max's bases in the first few turns and then accelerate her economy to an easy victory.
but can she get a perfect score? I've done this map 1 single time with her, but I don't think I got a great score as I spammed mechs lol. kanbei's units just don't die though, which is great for getting good ranks. I saw that someone beat this with a 300 score on grit, which is neat. I tried that map with him multiple times bit gave up.
@@xHeigoux I used her to get perfect score. The best way is to super rush both west/north bases that belong to max. There is a small chance that max will try to protect one of the bases, but if he doesn't then you easily win.
I was able to get an A rank with Sami, and also with Sturm of course, but he’s broken. So far I can’t do it with anyone else, so I’ll try Kanbei like you
One of the very few maps i can't make 300. I also use Kanbei but Sami also works... i have trouble with Sturm i feel he is worse than Sami on this. But well played.
Sami is quite good for this map! I beat it the other day with her. I only managed a 255 score but I think I played too cautiously in the first few days.
@@chrispratt3666 I was just thinking about that watching the video. It's all mechs and indirects for the first like half of the match, probably longer since I paused to see if anyone thought the same thing. Infantry are Sami's specialty, and she might be able to take those bases to the north and south even under siege, and her indirects don't have negative firepower the last time I looked.
@@Nekufan1000000 Yep I think my mistake back then was not going for those bases you mentioned quickly enough. Sami's infantry get a firepower bonus but not defense so it pays to be aggro. I'm thinking a perfect 300 is definitely achievable with Sami. TBH I haven't played the map since I made that comment though so I could be totally wrong!
@@chrispratt3666 even with aggro you still need the extra defense, the only tangible way to breakout is with staying power, especially being pinned down and all from day 1

Damn, I wasn't expecting Kanbei to be a good pick here (due to high costs). I saw someone else here on YT do this with Grit and nail a 300.

I'd say this is how Kanbei trains his troops to have that keen 130/130 edge, but that doesn't explain the enemy Kanbei.
