I'm just a guy who likes to play video games. Stay as long as you like, or leave as soon as you can, up to you! Most of my videos are for games I played back when I was younger, and want to share with you guys.
[Re-Boot Camp AW2 NC Classic #3] Gold Comet Play/Walkthrough (300 S-Rank)
Yeah, I think I severely underestimated the time it takes to optimize longer levels in Re-Boot Camp. Between no saves, no save states, no 2x times speed, and a junky capture card that forces me to restart my computer often (you can definitely notice it in A Mirror Darkly), I probably won't be optimizing the longer levels as much going forward. Silo Scramble and Sensei's Return were nice at least.
Extra Mission Notes:
Mission 17: Similar strategy to 2003, but Flak moves his tank right, and can use missile silos on units split apart now(it doesn't have to target on top of a unit anymore), though for some reason the AI favors the Infantry/APC together instead of the Recon/PC split. Have 2 enemy units prepped/in position for the power turn just in case he builds more than 10 units.
Mission 18: Very strange bug on cannon damage, I had to reset a second time to make sure. I guess Sonja's bad luck can apply to structure damage too, or maybe resetting the turn is buggy? The new vision changes for AI respecting FoW makes this mission much easier to beat. @Level5GamePlay has a 16 turn HQ capture + lab if you wanted to watch that instead. Since I was going through the missions a second time, I didn't have the lab capture dialogue included, but apparently you can come back to these earlier missions and build Neotanks after beating the lab mission!
Mission 19: The AI is really weird here. For some reason you need to have both the T-Copters loaded up, or he builds a tank on the bottom left base early instead of a mech in the top right base, preventing the HQ capture. I tried several ways to win in 7 turns with 300 score, but this seems to be the only one/most reliable way.
Mission 20: Messed up here and should've waited a turn to land, whoops! Disaster and embarassment ensues, but I was already committed at that point. Maybe I'll revisit it later like I did AW2 redo.
Mission 21: Possible 10 turn win here if you keep a full hp regular tank alive to move through 3 forests and Adder's rocket moves further up.
Mission 22: My budget capture card was REALLY struggling here, I edited out most of the rainbow glitching, but the audio took a beating. It plays very differently with the AI vision changes, and I'm pretty sure there's a 6 turn win possible!
Mission 23: Same as 2003 mostly. Greatly overestimated how much a bomber and 4 hp artillery could do to a 40% defense mech on the city.
Mission 24: Can do some cheeky stuff with the AI prioritizing APCs here! I think Sonja can win in the same way, but much more interesting than the Battleship strat.

I am kind of stumped... How did the artillery not attack your cruiser during Day 1?
You can still use, sensei, sammy, hwake to win this map, even though it's not gonna be S rank..

I absolutely *hated* Spiral Garden. It was just so heinous.
Is the lab really necessary to capture?
The problem is I’ve restarted dozens of times to see if Sturm will move his mechs first and infantry to the city spaces, but he never does. He always moves his infantry through so you cannot create this choke point. Seems to be a 1 in a million you were able to capitalize on. Regardless your strategy is incredible, I just have not been able to replicate this method because I’ve never gotten this CPU variation. Unless there’s a move pattern that I’m missing but I’ve literally tried this identical move pattern with identical characters. Awesome videos tho and thank you for the uploads 🙌🏼

Terminé este mapa también en rango S en más de 30 días con Kanbei, Sonja todo del tiempo estaba generando helicópteros de ataque y bombarderos, tuve que llenar mi isla de antiaéreos y también hice dos portaaviones para parar su producción de aviones. Fue difícil y tu lo haces ver muy fácil. Sorry, no hablo inglés.

This is such a badly designed mission. They give you tons of boats that you literally can't use. The whole mission is just save stating every turn because the cheating ass AI can see you in fog and shoot from nowhere
Sami sure can be scary.
Holy fuck Max was OP in the first game. I think +50% attack power for direct units by default and with the CO Power that cranks up to 80% + 1 extra movement speed. Incredibly OP.

I used Hawke for most of these missions for perfect scores. I don't know how lucky I got. I also not once ever considered building a pipe-runner. I can see now how they could be beneficial.
Using Javier on this map is so satisfying.
I used Nell for a perfect score. I didn't think to beat the mission like this, ignoring most of the south so I used Nell's luck-damage to kill the Neo-Tanks with huge Infantry-spam.
Seems like Sami is probably the only CO that can 300 S Rank every War Room map in this game too. Though I was able to get a perfect score on every map with Sturm in the second game.
He built Missiles! Missiles see so little action that I love it when they get fielded.

In my mission, I play with Andy, Max and Sami. Are there a chance that I can play with Olaf and Eagle too?
I just recently did this for the first time and oh man did I fail😂30 days for me but in all fairness I had to deal with Neo Tanks on Kanbei's side. So I spammed mechs..but my plan really was long term thinking. Take the right side with Kanbei, get the lander to pick up infantry form the bottom and take the top by taking the airport next to drakes harbor.. Where I really screwed up was constantly repairing or refueling ships in the harbor, that's why I never even thought I'd have the money to bring MD tanks over in a lander at the bottom.
Is 5 day still impossible?
My chinooks get shot down every time and that tunnel network is full of tanks.

You know a map is going to be a hell of a time when the AI desynchronizes during the first day.

...and when Nell doesn't move her troops away from base with the mech/copter out of range? I save scummed, followed step-by-step, and 5/5 times Nell moved a tank and an artillery back towards her base to block the mech on the right of the map. Both mech and copter were placed out of range of her troops at all times - perfectly mirrored every move. How do you do this when the AI doesn't literally run away from their base??? I knew I had a harder version of the game than you guys. Running on PizzaBoy so maybe it's the emulation's files vs the cartridge? Or how my phone computes the 'randomness' vs how a Gameboy would? 'Bout to just use Colin and brute force my way outta this basin with Daddy's money. Gotten nowhere with Grit, Nell, Eagle... I swear I am good on AWBW, why can't I get this map!!! *edit*- also I keep getting a chopper from Andy when moving the infantry across the mountains. Why is my game so different. Wahhhhh

I also used Grit to 300 S rank this war room map and actually managed to beat it on day 17. I actually limited my usage of artillery and mostly just spammed rockets once I had enough income to produce one per turn. I also did not bother using landers at all to save on money.

This one's actually easier on hard with the added units + no black bomb + Grit (with skills). Grit locks down the two bases in the southeast. Megatank is way easier to deal with as you can build an arty right away. The only mistake I made was not sending units south fast enough with Blue Moon or else I would have done it in 9-10 turns... The stupid AI doesn't even try to capture buildings opposite Blue Moon until turn 8, its economy is in ruins as it can only build AAs, regular tanks and arty.
I usually just send a tank over to the island, it's easier that way.
This one's easier than the normal campaign probably.
