At least here in the Netherlands, fields only allow you to use a bolt action rifle from 25 meters onwards. Could be a reason, or a habit because of this rule

If you think about it, thermal scope is reacting to your body tempreture which can be easily minipulated by surrounding yourself with dirt and grass and other things you can find, but, once again, you gotta now that he is using it so that makes it practicly impossible to nerf..

This shit reminds me of when guys first started bringing night vision to the big early to mid 2000's scenario paintball games. One guy with NVG could hold down an entire lane against two dozen opposing players. We eventually had to start using lights to blind them in order to maneuvere but obviously that caused its own problems. One particular lane even ran adjacent to a railroad and we ended up timing pushes with passing trains as a way to negate the sound of everyone rushing forward. It was fun as hell.
Improvise, adapt, overcome. Doesnt get more realistic of an experience than having to overcome a technologically superior opponent.

that depends on what velocity Silo is shooting people at. I'm sure most of his air soft markers can be turned up high enough to hurt. Thats how you weed out cheaters in paintball... first shot in the chest is a warning. Second shot goes in the face means sit down. Third time you shoot em in the neck and no one cheating anymore after that.

I've used the Smart Thor HD Thermal in the deserts, it's awesome but sadly if someone is behind a glass window; you wouldn't be able to detect them endless they are directly touching it and changing it's temp. Mine was around $3,000 during the time. The night vision color palette actually mimics night vision really really good. It's had 6 palettes and reached very far. I could pick up a lot from the mountains in the horizon. Great recommendation tbh

I've always wanted to try using a thermal scope or goggles of some kind, especially just to goof off and troll the enemy team. Obviously wouldn't want to kill the sportsmanship on the field by using it too much.
@Browsing Content NVG - Night Vision Goggles, he's not wrong. Also aiming down sights with NVG's absolutely work on some sights but not all. Commonly NVGs are used with IR lasers, for ease of aiming
@Browsing Content fair enough. I usually run an m4/pistol set up, so hip fire isn't out of the realm of possibility. I thought it would be cool to get a tiny 2-3 inch display, kind of like they have on the handheld infrared tools, but that's just too complicated. My cousin did it once years ago and it actually worked really well. His only problem was keeping it steady while mounted on the gun.
