I really enjoyed this. Defiance is so important, but choosing your battles is the key. Trauma can cause defiance that is oppositional and non-selective and that isn’t the same thing. That just anxiety and anger.

Suggestion to Monica for what to call her days she doesn't drink (rather than sober/sobriety) = "dry" days. Akin to the counties throughout the country where alcohol is produced but cannot be consumed (dry counties), Monica could refer to her non-drinking days as "dry " to keep things innocuous since total sobriety is not her ultimate goal. PS... loved this episode. I was inspired by the interview and pre-ordered Sunita's book as my life could use something healthy defiance right now. Endless thanks for giving us such incredible conversations to enjoy and learn from.💜

I came here to say the same thing about "dry" days.

This was a great episode for all of us pathological people pleasers ☺️.
Side comment on the fact check. It would be great if you could get an immigration attorney as an expert. I’ve worked as an immigration paralegal for the last 18 years and most people I talk to know very little about the system and how it works. It’s an interesting, confusing and very misunderstood area of law.
Thank you both for all you do! You make my Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays better!

Life changing episode! Thank you so much.
Sunita helped make sense of my knee jerk defiant relation in my Faith Crisis and deconstruction from the Mormon religion. It’s been nearly 6 years and this episode helped me make sense of why I acted (some might say over reacted) the way I did in those early moments. It also highlighted where and what it was that I lacked developmentally at that time and allows me to better understand how others (ie my brother) are able to navigate faith crisis more gracefully with less suffering and destruction in their wake. ❤🙏🏼

looked up the derivation of Swati ~ Sanskrit roots: "Su" means "good" or "well" and "Ati" means "going" or "great".
Astrological significance: Swati is considered one of the 27 nakshatras, and is often associated with auspiciousness and prosperity 🙂!

I don't want any animal testing, even mice. But I'll keep listening, as I'm a fan of you three folks and I have no difficulty holding both logic and feeling at the same time and that does not diminish my powers; it expands them! Barbie movie quotes for the win!

Love y’all. It just occurred to me that using a language model AI for the fact check is weird. That robot can straight lie to y’all. Confident ignorance is a drunk uncle’s purview. Please be careful.

Speeding in neighborhoods is bad and you should stop. Also blocking your fans who call you out creates a situation where you dodge all accountability. Do better.

If the nurse had the right to not accept the flu shot, we should be sympathetic to those who didn't accept the COVID shot, right?
