Just found out about Standard Action... a few hours later, and 2 seasons down... i'm a huge fan,.. and I have to pee. Can't wait for season 3. -your newest fan, Ben.
Hmmm I don't no, having never played a deck builder before Joanna's comment makes me a little interested. I even like trains in real life but I just don't know if this would be something worth getting.
Joanna Gaskell Really? wow that's a pretty strong endorsement, but that's why I watch review shows, to find new games I might dismiss. BTW this show is my hands down favorite, you and Kaja do a great job.
if you are going to play a train game. play ticket to ride. or if You can find it And like long (all day literally) games. Avalon hills Rail Barron bookcase game. (original Avalon Hill)
"Resource management." The only thing you manage in this game is WASTE. The game is more about WASTE management then it is about trains, really! SOOOO boring. Even with 3 players, there is little interaction. There aren't even train tracks or train cars for the board, just generic tokens. I'm surprised that these ladies didn't criticize that since they both like good-looking games, which this is not. Truly, this game is a WASTE. (Note:I played this several times (before I sold it off).)
the music :D
I half expected Kaja to turn to Joanna and say, "You can be my wing woman any time."
AEG said at BGG.con that the forthcoming expansion for Trains will include a dedicated two-player board.
Ooo! I like that!

Excellent!! Thank you so much for watching, and I'm so glad you like the show! Season 3 early next year... fingers crossed. :)
Joanna Gaskell Do you participate in the Paizo RPG Superstar contest? It probably starts up next week and I need some competition. ;)
I did last year!! I should definitely try again this year. Thanks for the reminder!
Joanna Gaskell It will be my second year too. I'll see you there.

I'm convinced. Ill keep it around, and play it a lot for sure. It's maybe even (gasp!) making me think more about trying "real" deck builders again!

just wish the game used actual trains for pieces to put on the board, instead of cubes. I mean that's the name of the game!
Good review. Not something I think I would enjoy playing though.
Deck building. I would like to help you build a deck.
