13:25 I was using "rate 1000000" as well, and it made the game automatically reset to the LOWEST rate. It used to be like this in csgo, but apparently the highest rate you can set in CS2 is "786432" (equivalent to 8MB or >, like if you would set through the menu).
To be honest I was always aware of this, question is does rate 1000000 in autoexec forces it to the highest rate even in the ui it says extremely restricted, status in console will still output 1000000 rate, we need aysa to confirm it
yeah in the options it appears as the lowest, but in actuality it is not. you can confirm this by checking via console. the menu just doesn't have a display option for your set value so it visually bugs. Anyway, you don't actually need your rate that high. I have tried default options and 1000000
Benchmarks: Before the video: 16:9 - 242 FPS // 4:3 - 315 FPS After the video: 16:9 - 347 FPS // 4:3 - 363 FPS RTX 3060 ti, idk you did this but an 100 FPS increase on 16:9 is unbelievable. And my PC in general is extremely responsive. W video my bro, thank you!
As someone who tried to optimize his computer, I have say that the thread launch options is the latest placebo of 2023-2024. The only thing that really works is debloat Windows. Also remember guys that cs2 is not well optimized so even on high end computers the game may get some lag (not internet lag, computer lag)
it's not placebo. run the game without the threads options and type sys_info on your console then check for your threads count. then run it back with the +1 method to get your exact numbers of cores and run sys_info again !
for example i own a 7950X3D which i simulate on the first ccx for cs2 ( so 8 cores 16 threads ) and the thread launch option gave me a pretty good boost !
@@_fr4mes743 agreed on my 7800x3d the -threads gave me the most stable frametime and fps, and for me using the "-high" was the wining combo together with threads
@@totocsgo you can overclock your cpu to reduce bottleneck, but the best thing obviously is to upgrade your cpu and take one with a lot of L1 L2 L3 cache (most titles nowadays use a lot of that cache).

@@Giovanniugo-l4vcuz its benchmark FPS and not real comp FPS I have a 360hz monitor and my FPS was between 290-320 I wanted 40 fps more instead I now have 40 less 😭
Disabling C-states and using power plans other than Balanced are generally not recommended (unless in certain cases and if you’ve verified the effect with before- and after benchmarks) on the 7800X3D. This is because it interferes with the boosting (and scheduling) of your CPU and most of the time will give you worse performance in games (you won’t reach your max boost frequencies on the cores you are using for the game). This is based on official information and recommendations by AMD as well as my own and others’ testing. Intel is a different story though. I have a 7800X3D paired with a 3070 TI and in the benchmark I reach 616 avg FPS and 1% low of 310 FPS (before applying any of the tweaks in this vid, only my own ones). So you should definitely have a higher FPS, assuming you have a decent GPU and are not playing on a 4K or something like that.
The Nvidia control panel is not working. It's not showing up on either windows 10 or 11 and i can't debloat windows 10 as it keeps shutting down powershell
I had a few problems with this guide too. Also I lost like 15% fps (already had partially optimized win 10). Eventually I ended up restoring from the backup
I had the same problem and found a work-around. From the Windows menu, search for Powershell ISE and run it as administrator then right click on the Windows10DebloaterGUI file and select 'edit'. It should open up the file in Powershell ISE. In ISE on the toolbar, there's a green play button that says 'run script' if you hover over it. Click that and hit yes to run as administrator then proceed with this tutorial. As for Nvidia CP, I just went to my web browser and redownloaded it. Hope that helps!

Vprof on CS2 P1 increase of ~50-60 FPS which I can definitely feel the difference w/ stretched 1280x960 255hz Btw, I was happy to see that it fixed my TCP Connection Latency programs that were greyed out as it has been driving me crazy recently.
I was hyped for this guide but it contains too many overlaps, some of this is just snake oil / placebo, some of it is good, and some is just personal preference. Just running a bunch of .reg or .bat files without checking the contents is crazy, and even if you do check a lot of the code is missing comments... e.g. under Nvidia why change P0-State like that globally instead of just setting "Prefer maximum Performance" for cs2.exe in the NVIDIA Control Panel (or even with the included nvidiaProfileInspector)? Why is the part from Registry\Regy.reg "Allow scripts in CMD set-executionpolicy remotesigned" needed? Also the Debloater wants to remove MSPaint and Calculator? I'd love to see a more narrow guide with just the most safe and impactful tweaks.
@@aysafromnazareth Yes, is it not comparable? From Nvidias own docs: "P-States are GPU active/executing performance capability and power consumption states. P-States range from P0 to P15, with P0 being the highest performance/power state, and P15 being the lowest performance/power state. Each P-State maps to a performance level. Not all P-States are available on a given system. The definition of each P-States are currently as follows: P0/P1 - Maximum 3D performance P2/P3 - Balanced 3D performance-power" The only things I can find for forcing P0-state are people trying to get better hashrates when mining crypto. If it is actually good for CS2 performance/fps/frametimes/input lag please explain how? How does it differ from just setting "Prefer maximum Performance"?

That's because the guy nart recommends takes most of the windows tweaks from random tweaking discords/amit's GitHub and tells you to apply everything. Even in this video there's many things done wrong such as the setting of timer res and checking with measuresleep at idle lol. It needs to be done under a stress test and the values he recommends aren't the same for everyone but then again it's also bad to set it globally instead of per process. It's advised to benchmark every modification one by one and see if it improves your performance. Don't randomly apply commands you see on a TH-cam video as most of these guys are clueless and have no idea what they are making people apply to their system.
I didn't apply most of these changes as I didn't feel comfortable doing so. A lot of these are personal preference options or things that I frankly don't understand so I'm not going to run them without proper explanation of what it's even changing. BUT the input latency section is actually insane. My overall input latency which I measured using FrameViewer (not to be confused with frame times seen ingame) went from 10-15ms to 6ms. Actually insane. No FPS improvement, but again, I skipped like half of the items or more.
It's great that they've helped people who don't have the opportunity to play games, including Counter-Strike, but I believe there are too many such people. This large number of people could, in quotation marks, rebel and tell the game developers that they should create an architecture or platform in Counter-Strike that makes the game more playable and significantly expands the user and player base. This responsibility lies with Valve, or if not Valve, then the manufacturers. So, the focus should be on showing the way to activate possible in-game configurations that make the game more playable, rather than people having to make driver-level modifications on their computers just to achieve a stable FPS for one game. With that effort, you might as well start the video by advising people to install a separate Windows just for this purpose because many other games' settings will crash. So, as useful as this video can be, it can be just as bad if someone isn't aware that they are making modifications that affect many other games, especially when digging into the registry.

I tried this on my laptop and it solved my input lag & instant ms drop problems. I also have higher FPS. Thanks!!!

Great video ive used Aysa a while ago and this video boosted my fps by around 70 and definitely improve my latency issues ingame. Keep up the great work!!!!

For LOW END PCs AYSA suggest (global shadow on low and dynamic shadows on all) but if you run cs2 with a high end pc you should put the shadows to high to have a better definition of the shadows and to see the shadows from a far distance on some maps!

disable your ecores for a higher average !
yeah -threads 9 fixed these lags for me, it was the e-cores that produce these lags and with them disabled for the game, its gone.. anyway I sold my 14900k and went to the 7800x3d and now I draw 130w less power and have around 100fps more frames on the cs2 benchmark, getting 725fps now on high settings 1440 strechted, 6400mhz gskill ddr5

13:25 I was using "rate 1000000" as well, and it made the game automatically reset to the LOWEST rate. It used to be like this in csgo, but apparently the highest rate you can set in CS2 is "786432" (equivalent to 8MB or >, like if you would set through the menu).
Doesn't it just say LOWEST in the UI settings?
To be honest I was always aware of this, question is does rate 1000000 in autoexec forces it to the highest rate even in the ui it says extremely restricted, status in console will still output 1000000 rate, we need aysa to confirm it
yeah in the options it appears as the lowest, but in actuality it is not. you can confirm this by checking via console. the menu just doesn't have a display option for your set value so it visually bugs. Anyway, you don't actually need your rate that high. I have tried default options and 1000000
Sorry but doesnt feel good on game. Maybe something wrong with autoexec

Legit 60-80 FPS gains on my laptop this is huuuuuge as I was dipping as low as 90-120 at times, now I haven't seen it go below 160!!! Insane.
@@aysafromnazareth bro windows counts the core from 0 so if u got 8 cores it will show up in game as 7 because 0 1 2 3 4 5 6 7; that is 8 still

@@Giovanniugo-l4vcuz its benchmark FPS and not real comp FPS
I have a 360hz monitor and my FPS was between 290-320
I wanted 40 fps more instead I now have 40 less 😭
Compare with real situations not the benchmark which will show you a different result after every reboot of your game
Thank you Nart

The Nvidia control panel is not working. It's not showing up on either windows 10 or 11 and i can't debloat windows 10 as it keeps shutting down powershell
me too
I just ran NVIDIAControlPanel_8.1.958 which also is in the folder and then it is available with the version selected from the clean install. Try it
I had a few problems with this guide too. Also I lost like 15% fps (already had partially optimized win 10). Eventually I ended up restoring from the backup
It's included in the folder, you can reinstall it from there.

Great guide for rtx 3050 and win11
Did you just compare p state with max power on nvcp ?
@@aysafromnazareth Yes, is it not comparable? From Nvidias own docs: "P-States are GPU active/executing performance capability and power consumption states.
P-States range from P0 to P15, with P0 being the highest performance/power state, and P15 being the lowest performance/power state. Each P-State maps to a performance level. Not all P-States are available on a given system. The definition of each P-States are currently as follows:
P0/P1 - Maximum 3D performance
P2/P3 - Balanced 3D performance-power"
The only things I can find for forcing P0-state are people trying to get better hashrates when mining crypto.
If it is actually good for CS2 performance/fps/frametimes/input lag please explain how? How does it differ from just setting "Prefer maximum Performance"?
@@konffen please run a test without the cmds linked on the nvidia folder then check your clocks then redo the driver install with ddu etc, run the scripts and compare the clocks again.

Weird that this guide made my avg fps, 1% lows and latency worse, glad i had my restore point
You are a genius, thank you so much
aysa the genius! big ups to him
I didn't apply most of these changes as I didn't feel comfortable doing so.
