    The "I love you Taylor" at the end got me.
    One of my friends got to work with Dave on a project a few years ago and said he was really that nice in person. I was so glad because she was such a fan.

      After Taylor died, I saw an interview with Alanis Morissette. Taylor was in her touring band and whenever they would run into Dave, and he Taylor where like best friends re-uniting. Alanis knew. She asked him what was going to happen when Dave asked him to join his band,

      @@Speedofsound9 The balance within the band was like that until Sonic Highways. I remember hearing that, don't remember if in the eponymous documentary or other interviews. Maybe the situation has changed since Concrete and Gold, I don't know.

      @@Cthulhu_Awaken In there little videos about each song is Medicine At Midnight I think in one of them he did say he used to be like, “I want this like this and that like that”, but he eventually realized that he was the one holding back the creativity of the Foo Fighters and he started to let them do their own thing. I think he even said that for MAM he walked out for a bit and let the band do there own thing. I believe this info was in one of those videos I just don’t remember which.

The generations are a tricky business and tragic as well. TOTALLY tragic when I am truly relieved when this does not happen. Not hating, just really sad and true.     I emailed Norman's Rare Guitars twice to ask about a guitar to buy and they never responded! They just don't have what I was looking for! I asked for a Guyatone SG 28 and they are rare, but none there!! I've only seen one on youtube and e-bay!!

    Stumbled across your youtube and enjoyed all the videos and guitar folks... great stuff.. I have several great guitars including a (not certain of date) 1940?? Gibson L5 that was redone by D'Angelico in the late '40's.. my guitar teacher in around 1956 bought it from Johnny Smith... it's a beauty.. Great site and thanks for sharing great talent and beautiful guitars.

    It's funny how so many people find it hard to believe that a drummer can be a guitarist and vice versa. They are not mutually exclusive and if you bothered to look, it happens a lot more often than you think. The added bonus is that when you possess knowledge of more than one instrument, it can make you much better at your craft.

      Dave actually said in another vid that when he was learning guitar, he basically applied his sense of drum-timing and swing in order to learn strumming and melodic patterns.

      Don't know what song it is but try playing it like this. This is the G-chord he plays around. E:3 A:x D:0 G:0 B:3 e:3. Then he basically just change the bass-note. (don't play the strings above the bass-note). These are the notes in order: E:3, A:0, A:2, A:3, A:2, E:3, D:3, D:2, D:0, A:3, A:2, E:3. You will have to figure out the strumming by yourself but that's the notes.
