It's fantastic to see these former world champions together again.. and what a treat to see Wayne Rainey riding with them also.. Wayne Rainey was my hero growing up watching real men on beautiful and unforgiving machines.. a far cry from today's dull racing
Yeah, those times were awesome, but what dull racing are you indicating here? MotoGP, WSBK are far from dull imho. 4 wheel racing....yeah, that's a different story I agree!
This my youth on 2 wheels. What memories!!!! What we have witnesed from their "fights"!!! They were pushing these difficult bikes to the absolute limits. I still remember Doohan coming out of a turn on a drifting wheelie while his helmet was above the front wheel of that Honda.
Weepy!!! Ahhhh! My eyes are leaking clear watching this! Being a Yank i remember his crash and being a teen back the i was devastated by this and i stopped watching until 2010 or so. i cant even imagine how Wayne was feeling at Goodwood
Missing Randy Mamola & Eddie Lawson with a Cagiva . Goosebumps for Wayne Rayne . Oh my God . Heroes of my teen age are old . The child has grown , the dream has gone ...
@@Jiraiyaa69 I'm terribly embarrassed because I no longer have a VCR for reading K7 videos. If that had been the case, I would have filmed with the phone and I would have gladly shared, even with the comments in French. Precisely with regard to the commentators, I can tell you that it's caviar especially at the finish where there was almost nothing that separated them. The commentator was so passionate I thought he was going to swallow his tonsils. Anyway, I apologize for not being able to please you... 😯
Glad to see those 2-Stroke PIGS gone. They had their strengths - BUT - thier weaknesses made them PIGS. Motorcycle racing is now far better due to the absence of 2-Stroke engines. I adore my 2-Stroke chainsaw and I am sure many adore their 2-Stroke Outboard motor - but - the race track is way better off without them.
@@apistosig4173 well everyone is entitled to their own view, but if you had seen the real racing, when real racers battled their ‘pigs’ around a track, shoulder to shoulder, elbow to elbow, no electronic aids, just pure skill with the possibility of multiple winners every race instead of the procession we now have, you may have a different opinion. I politely suggest looking at some you tube videos of early 90’s races.
@@VH5150BAZ I grew up admiring Roger DeCosta and Barry Sheen, I have stood trackside watching Rainey, Schwantz, Roberts, Lawson, Mamola, Spencer etc etc so I know. Those two-stroke MCs were pigs and many of the riders acknowledged this..
@@apistosig4173 agree, they were really difficult to ride and like you I grew up surrounded by the smell of two stroke oil. The thing is that whilst they were so difficult to master it showed the skill of the rider, pure skill with no electronic aids. Our current motto gp bikes are incredible technically but the racing in the main has become dare I say, boring, there are few ‘battles’, it’s more of a procession, still better than F1 but no where near as exciting. Perhaps because the bikes were pigs made it all the better to admire the skill of a bike racer, feel and huge balls to get the most out of the bike.
Legends together. The King my idol when I first got into bikes, his race with Bazza in '79 one hell of a memory. Watched them all at my local circuit Donington between 1981- 1994. Two strokes always been the racing bikes to watch and the skill required immense. Saw WR at Donington in 1984 when he was still racing a 250 after just coming over from the US following his AMA career.
All absolute legends in eras, must admit kenny and barry(rip) were always my favs as kenny was always lethal on his ow yamaha, and mick doohan was just awesome, hats off to them all they were just the best to watch in an era of motorcycling that cant be beaten.
I’m so happy for all of them, especially Rainey. I remember watching the race on tv in ‘93. Glad tech and time and grit and the great pumpkin made it possible to see them together again
I remember these guys racing at Laguna SECA many years ago. I think Kenny Roberts came out of retirement for this race. These guys were incredible even back then.
Yes last time I saw him over here was Donington in 1984 at the Transatlantic meeting. I think he was here a few years back at Mallory Park for a classic race bike festival. He rode his title winning bike I think but only seen it in magazine articles.
I'd have loved to have seen Eddie Lawson, Freddie Spencer and Wayne Gardner there as well. Those would have been your 1983-1998 500 champs right there.
Emotional to see these guys altogether again, they provided us with the best of times in Grand Prix racing, just a pity Barry Sheene wasn't here as well.
This is absolutely fantastic to see these ? To me, special guy's again on the track. Growing up I was a huge King Kenny fan ' off course it's not just great to see Kenny Robert's ride again but Kevin Schwantz ' Mick Doohan ' and off course the great Wayne Rainey
@@brutonano9521 the real one that i know is Rainey's while the other 3 i think were not the same in the race. Read about them in websites and those bikes are great 90s beast though
It's not really a rivalry, it's just Kenny being 'funny'. I've known him for years and that is just how he has always been. I think it's what made him the absolute best rider of his day.
My hero from when I first got into bikes aged13. Absolute legend, managed to get his autograph at Donington in 1984 the Transatlantic race meeting after seizing my own road bike on the way to the track.Lucky as I think it was his last race meeting outside the US at the time His battle with Spencer in 1983 the best season ever.
Fantastic...my thoughts are however why it took 30 yrs and why theyre not at a race track... no disrespect to Goodwood of course coz thats a great event
Gees that was cool but I got the impresion Wayne was dead, so pleased he is not, y tube can be confusing at times, a different Wayne I guess. I am near to Goodwood, they do a great job.
There was a Photo of Rainey, Schwantz, Doohan with Agostini and Pedrosa .. They did all ride together at one point! I can't find the video though.. have a look

Totally agree. The current bikes are just not the same. Give me a two stroke any time.
today's dull racing? Get a grip.
What a great bunch of blokes . I loved 500 two stroke racing . Do it again next year !
absolutely the best. Brings a tear to the eye. Absolutely love this. Total legends.
An ACTUAL Magic Moment.
Goodwood is truly Special!

When men rode 500 cc 2 strokes. WOW, miss those times. Literally Warriors on two wheels

ABSOLUTE LEGENDS! 🏍
These bikes were the F1's of that Era. The Malboro Yamaha will always be my favorite.
Nah it actually a replica of the real bikes they used to battle against each other.
