That's Curtis Valley Overlook I think it's called on Blueridge Parkway. Nearest sizable town is Marion NC. Map it from there and you'll go right to it on Parkway. 20 to 25 miles from Marion. Takes about 40 or 45 minutes tho. Single lane and winding roads. Slow going. Thanks for watching videos. Glad you want to visit places up there. Excellent time of year to go. When I was there Marion was at 90 degrees. At That overlook on car dashboard said 62 at the same time. That's a nice thing to say about baseing your trip on these videos. Thank You! When the wife and I were last there, the "report mountain lion sightings" sign was gone, and it was May and snowing lightly.

Mt Mitchell is the highest peak east of the Mississippi and the cool thing is .. at the tower, at the top you can see 5 states ..
