This episode was storyboarded by Tomohiro Furukawa, the director of Revue Starlight! He was just "returning the favour" to Fumiaki Kouta, the assistant director of this season of Symphogear, and the one who storyboarded and directed episode 8 of Revue Starlight. Both of them are friends since long ago so they help each other out like this. You can tell in this episode that Furukawa has no problem with storyboarding action to the beat of a song (something pretty hard to pull off)
Interesting detail where Chris is changing her arsenal to mini guns, a major development from the previous seasons where she fires randomly and recklessly to the point of almost harming Shirabe back in GX, and causing collateral damage. She's finally prioritizing accuracy and caring for people's safety.😉 3:56 Also, I don't think Hibiki forced her parents coming back together but rather taking a small step to helping them reconcile, no matter how uncertain and difficult the future may be. As the 3rd season was about forgiveness, taking the first step does not always mean that their family could just easily become whole again, but takes time or effort. I love how this season addresses many elements from the prevo seasons to show that not every problems can be solved easily by hand-holding and that human understanding is still far-fetched. Also Kirika's OYOYOOOOOOOOO!!! always live rent free in my head.
This is where the season picks the pace, all transformations on this season are really cool, overall they are great but this season they threw the budget in those, Fudo is indeed one of the most hated villains in the series, he is very zealous regarding the protector thing and boy he has the means to stand for those words. Happy new year everyone! Cheers to the Symphogear fans out there!
Segway alcanoise! Chris actually hitting something with her sniper rifle for once! Chris' song being GOAT'd! A strong episode. I always felt the body count at the stadium was a bit much. Like, the population of Tokyo in 2023 was ~10m, are you saying if nearly 1% of them died in a single disaster, that wouldn't be a disaster on an impossible level? It's like 33 9/11's! I really like how they've used TopDad in XV, it's a much better resolution than how GX left it I forgot Fudo gets revealed this early, biggest Glowie is doing Glowie things. He's a very traditional villain, but he's been lurking in the shadows since S1 as the man behind a lot of things so it's nice to see him finally moving Noble Red have finally been revealed, there's some backstory to them to come but we have at the moment: Elsa Bete, who is French Milaarc Cranstoun, who is Austrian Vanessa Diodatl, who is from Hong Kong, but her father is a British Indian. Her parentage is a reference to Hammer Productions (The keywords even reference it almost directly), who made many films, including many of a horror variety. This ties into the theming of Noble Red too. I do like their pragmatism and the change from the usual villain dynamics they have: every time they've come up against a Symphogear so far they've run off with their tail between their legs. The only time they've got a W against them was with Kamakura's support and involved killing innocents, they're a far cry from Saint-Germain's crew or the Autoscorers
i thought through Season 5 episodes and how the events play out for now 4 and 5 are separated 6-8 kinda go together mainly 7-8 though 9 and 10 can be done separate 11-12 go together 9-12 are all important battles and 13 is the finale
The 3 monster girls: "We're not monsters." Also them: 100 thousand civilians dead, killing innocent bystanders, taking pleasure in all the unnecessary deaths they're causing. That said, time for Chris' -talking boobs- new transformation sequence! :D Love how she bounces the bullets on her torpedoes like that! And the "BANG" at the end is so cute!
Shem-Ha Mephorash mention let's go!!! Good to see you are hating Fudo, he is the top 1 most hatable villain in this anime. He is literally made to be as hatable as possible. Also, one thing you need to keep in mind: Fudo is a Kazanari. Remember that Kazanaris are just built different. Also, Millaarc is like me: Willing to do ANYTHING for the sake of our families...maybe that is why i like her. Also, you will understand more about those three once you see the opening (Probably)
I can finally talk about this now. Tsubasa's grandfather, Fudo, is a total POS. He might not be blatantly evil like Dr Ver was, but at least Ver was fun and likable in a way. Fudo is just this ancient asshole who sits on his throne and barks orders. When you consider the fact that he's working with the villain trio, you suddenly realize that Fudo is going to be playing both sides this season and it's freaking dumb. He already tore Tsubasa down this episode and has repeatedly ripped into SONG for failing missions now and then. Yet in this season, it's worse. If SONG loses a battle against Noble Red, then Fudo gets to berate Tsubasa and the others. But if Noble Red loses a battle against SONG, then they will get berated by Fudo. And my other problem with Fudo is that he certainly sits around on his butt a lot for how much he flaps his lips... But yeah, Shirabe's transformation was nice. She is indeed adorable. She's one of those characters who will be super attractive in 10 years. You can argue she already is, but lets chill out a little and remember her age first. haha I'm still on Team Maria though. MaMaria best girl.

You basically summarized why I hate Noble Red so much
