  • We put the Pro-Attachment Series (PAS) Pro Paddle Broom attachment from ECHO Incorporated to work cleaning up rock and other debris that got pushed into our grass this winter during snow removal activities. How often does this happen to you or your customers? This is an extremely handy tool to make short work of this type of cleanup. Do you have a unit from stihl usa? At Nord Outdoor Power, we have paddle brooms from them too!
    With 3 different power heads options along with 15 available attachments, the PAS system offers a huge number of options to help you enhance and maintain your outdoor world.

    Many many years experience using these. Do yourself a huge favor and loosen up and rotate the attachment 180⁰ so it's upside down, and use it as a pulling action. Very little resistance, and the machine can be used one handed. Also, it works most efficient at about 1/4 to 1/3 throttle. I ran Stihl sweepers (owned 2) for a few decades, but just got the sweep for the Echo. And of course all my Echo equipment lasted for many years, some for decades, as well. I'm now currently running all Echo with the x series.

      How do you rotate the attachment won't it only go one way?

    • @groundcontrol2795
      @groundcontrol2795 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@MrScottgp You just loosen the attachment where it goes on to the shaft, and rotate it 180⁰.

    I wonder if this will work on acorns. I live in South Texas and for 2-3 years straight now my oak trees have dropped tons of those things on my lawn and they are a pain in the ass to clear out. I’ve used leaf blowers, rakes and have even used a backward rake and they all do the job….not 100% though, but it just takes too damn long.

      Some good answers already for you. If you don't want to deal with the weight of this item, you can also consider the Stihl MM55 with the same paddles and a wheel kit. Here is a video of that setup - th-cam.com/video/0p0mSlyqSpA/w-d-xo.html

    If this had tines or teeth instead I wonder if it could be used to dethatch lawns/power rake?

    • @nordoutdoorpower
      @nordoutdoorpower  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      It probably could, but we suspect the issue may be with overall control of the unit for the operator. Stihl's MM55 Multi-Task tool is a different design with optional wheel kit. This unit does have the option you are looking for. You can see it here: nordpower.stihldealer.net/products/multi-task-tools/yard-boss-attachments/mfdethatc/

    I have infill in artificial turf. Will this remove it?

    • @nordoutdoorpower
      @nordoutdoorpower  ปีที่แล้ว

      Richard, there is a chance this would do a good job if the material is loose. If it's hard and buried in deep, not sure it will work. Wish we had some experience with this application we could share. We have heard of this tool being used on college turf fields.

    • @nordoutdoorpower

      Depending on the size, it should work fine. The biggest issue may be how sharp the lava rocks are. If they are really sharp, they could cause paddle damage over time.
