    Add a blue dye to your mix so you can see where you’ve sprayed.

    Funny every time I look into something you have the video up about it the same day.

    Slightly more funny, I mixed and sprayed Celsius for the first time this morning. I had hit the summer weeds in Aug with Speedzone Southern. There were so many different fall weeds going on in my backyard and I just wanted them all to go away. I used dye and intended to spot apply. I finally gave up and hit it all. Next time, I will cut the grass and spray right after, using the stripes as a guide.

      Awesome! You have 2 great products for weeds in centipede. I know what you mean, I limited my chemical use this year but starting in September I just wanted to kill all the weeds

    Specticle is out of the question - centipede can’t take the rates needed. You need to look at Gallery, twice a calendar year.
    Also, you need a better application tool. And the weed you have is ground ivy. Need Sulfentrazone for that at 6oz/ac. Lawn needs a lot of help.

    I use 2, 4-D with 3 oz mix with one gallon of water which work pretty well with Chamberbitter . Celsius is kind of expensive.

      Just be careful with 2,4-D on centipede. Celsius is expensive up front but lasts quite a while

    What pre emergent do you use and when to apply it in the fall?

    • @CentipedeCentralLawnCare
      @CentipedeCentralLawnCare  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I have used many different kinds but I like the HI Yield Weed & Grass Stopper because of coverage/spreadability and it has no Muriate of Potash in it. Put down as soil temps get around 60-70 or when the centipede slows down growth is a good indicator

    Anything I can do now to help control next years chamber bitter outbreak?

    • @CentipedeCentralLawnCare
      @CentipedeCentralLawnCare  ปีที่แล้ว

      What has helped me a lot is 2 apps of Atrazine. One a couple of weeks after greenup, and one in early June. Also bag mowing helps alleviate the pressure.

    Does Celcius have any pre-emergent properties? Chamberbitter develops seeds almost as soon as it emerges from the ground. You can kill the plant but it will drop its seeds and spread.

    • @CentipedeCentralLawnCare
      @CentipedeCentralLawnCare  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      It does not have pre emergent properties but atrazine does. It is pretty effective if you time it right. My chamberbitter usually shows up mid June so now is a good time to apply. I’ve found that it’s obviously not 100%effective but it does help. Bag mowing during chamberbitter break outs helps too. Celsius is great at killing it.

    What are the yellow spots in the lawn and how fo u correct it?

    • @CentipedeCentralLawnCare
      @CentipedeCentralLawnCare  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Could be either dog pee spots or chlorosis. Chlorosis is usually fixed by either liquid iron or granular iron. Liquid iron would work faster. Or it could be dry spots that need extra irrigation

    My main issue is burweed and dollarweed.. is this something I can use as a pre emergent in the fall? Couldn't really see burweed in the video on the label

    • @CentipedeCentralLawnCare
      @CentipedeCentralLawnCare  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Celsius does control burweed, it is listed on the label as “lawn burweed”. Also Atrazine would control it too. Check out my video on atrazine if you get a chance. Celsius is a post-emergent only (no pre-emergent properties). Thanks

    11:31 does Recognition control crabgrass, signal grass or torpedo grass in st augustine? Or do I still need to use celsius?

      The label says it suppresses torpedo grass but not total kill. No mention of crabgrass or signal grass on label

    • @CentipedeCentralLawnCare
      @CentipedeCentralLawnCare  8 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Mowing first you should be fine to apply the next day. If you apply first before you mow I would wait a few days before mowing

      The best is probably Celsius because of how many weeds it takes care of and is safe on centipede. Also great is Fertilome Weed Free Zone - very quick results

    • @CentipedeCentralLawnCare
      @CentipedeCentralLawnCare  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Both! Check out my Atrazine video. I find it’s great for after spring green up and early summer. It has pre-emergent properties as well that work well for preventing tough weeds like CHAMBERBITTER

      @@CentipedeCentralLawnCare I did before. That's what I was thinking. Use the atrazine after green up for preemergent and Celsius during summer. I'm in South Florida So I'm thinking green up will be sooner compared to more cooler environments
