I wanted a T-7 when I bought the Pan America, the 1290, and then the 890 Adventure. There were none to be found around me. I was going to look at one about 600 mikes South of me. When I was more than half way there I called to ask them to see if I could check the bike out later that day or first thing the next morning and they said it was sold. I gave up. The 890 has been wonderful but I worry about the electronics. The best thing about the T-7 is it’s simplicity and it’s a Yamaha. 👍
Yes, it’s the simplicity of bikes that make them more attractive I think, tends to make you think it will be easier to maintain and service etc, much less to go wrong 😁 thanks PW 😁
In USA the T7 is massively popular & videos like Pol Tarres,Yammie Noob & more helped. The waiting list in US was long to get one & the price was way cheaper too being a 700 put it in it's own category.Punches above it's weight for it 700cc & light weight. This new Adv touring model will be popular.
Mr. TAYM on T7 Tenere .. Marvelous bike for touring the world. Yet again, 270° crankshaft. I told you, giraffes and 270° twin are taking over the world 😀 .. But actually, Yamaha pioneered that engine in the 90's with the old super tenere 750.
Hello I finally understood you arrange your retirment with a little job you fill up the demo motorcycles that's why you can try so many models😁why go around the world with it when you just have to cross the Channel to come and take me as a passenger and make a man happy! I'm so jealous you always show me bikes i'd like to try and own😭....joking aside I love this trail ! But I like my classic even more.on this point we are the same friend thank you for sharing 😉✌️🇨🇵
I know the Yamaha is far more capable off road but in day to day use it reminds me of my Honda CL 500 on steroids . There's something about these practical, utilitarian go-anywhere type bikes that are so satisfying to ride. I think the Yamaha would be the perfect winter bike for someone of your height TAYM ... great review as always👍
I hereby award 1st prize in the competition for motorcycle most like a giraffe to.... this bike! Even the screen looks like the face of a giraffe. But who would want to ride a giraffe with a motor? And you'll need a stepladder for Mrs TAYM to get on this 890mm monster seat height beast. Luckily it's big enough to carry the stepladder everywhere you go. The engine is so high, my goodness it'll be hard to lift when it goes down. Two fillers, good idea I'm sure, but haven't worked it out yet! Oh, and it didn't turn into bends that well - not a great feature on a motorbike... Enjoyed every second of the video, despite not liking the bike, other than its total giraffeiness.
Love the dual fillers, Worth it just for those 😁. During my ride home and getting jolted by all the lumps and bumps I was actually relieved at the thought of my up coming transalp! Hmm I hope it has a kangaroo mode
Great video as ever. I wonder how it will fare up against the Honda Transalp which is lighter, quicker and cheaper I think? Your comment about our atrocious roads spot on....not just the effect as we ride but the potential for expensive damage to our machines..
Technically, a fine bike it would seem. Thanks for that thorough look at the Tenere 700. Adventure bikes just don't seem to warm the heart of my cockles somehow. If I had to choose one it might be a Husqvana Norden 900. Every journey is an adventure 😂🤣.
Good review of a very capable bike . It's a pity that the World Raid isn't available in N America . The preying mantis look is very individual and sets the bike apart , but still quite attractive . Handling traits are understandable in a tall bike with a 21 " front wheel . It's too tall for me or I'd have one right now . "Rozzers roasting in closed tin can " , marvelous !
Another marvellous review even although it's not a bike I'd choose, a bit tall, a bit too top heavy and perhaps a bit cumbersome on corners 🤔😮 That pillion seat must look more padded in the flesh so to speak, pardon the pun 😀 I reckon Mrs TAYM would need a saddle fitted 🙄😯😂 Still hopefully you'll take it out again ana Mrs TAYM can give her tuppence worth 👍😀
Tryed new vstrom 800 bery impressed with its ride comfort on bad roads very quiet and goes well like teneree it feels lighter n more flickable than weight specs says now will i swop for my vstom 650 mmmmmmmmmmm🤔😉😂atb dave
I really like the Tenere it looks like it means business and it is one of the adventure bikes that does make sense except for the fact that it has 890mm seat height 😯 Perfect bike for the Land Of The Giants but sadly another one that discriminates against us shorties 🤣🤣🤣
Well TAYM what can one sy it looks similar to Hondas version how does the saying go ? only has looks a mother could love sorry not one for me just another of those untalistic adventure things really .The morrors look ok and I am sure it will do the job it's meant to do not much more to be said really 😊👌👍
Well I was just getting on the plane to China to pick up my takeaway when the kettle boiled over from 2 much firewood and soaked the teabags. Had my headphones on and missed TAYMS notification and it's been raining and blowing heaps and cold as well and the bloody firewood has been wet. I also had to go to my elderly parents place for supper....think I've got all excuses covered haha.
Probably the ugliest motorcycle I've ever seen. But that and the KLR and the V Stroms are superbly dependable motorcycles. Now the MG V100 , that's art!!😂 And art is subjective 😂😂. Have a great weekend.
I was watching those bloody cheating Ausie cricket 🏏 bastards should of been banned 🚫 for life & would of if not for Ausie criminality & corruption.Karma paying them back Warner out early & Smith out for bugger all & was crying & moaning when Brits celebrated. Ausie's singing & yelling when winning & crying & cheating when loosing.Slap each other on the arse winning or loosing.I think 🤔 that kiwi 🇳🇿 weight lifter 🎱 fit right into the Ausie cricket 🏏 team😁😆😂🤣.
Great bike. Watch vueltaalmundoenmoto. Fernandita travelling the World on a Tenere 700 with partner Vincente on an Africa Twin. If a bike manages the Suffolk road it can go anywhere.

The Kickstart only Yamaha SR500 I had back in 1980 had self canceling indicators. 🤔😎
I bet it had a centre stand too 😁 thanks KT 😁
I’m sure the RD250 did have in 1979.

Stowmarket?
Yes 😁
And Elmswell.
890mm seat height??
I'd need a mounting block and air bags to on and off of that!
Great video, great bike

😁😁😁 handy if the pumps on the wrong side😂😂😂😂😂 thanks ice 😁

Sad we didn't get the World Raid on Canada. But we do have the Taureg and 800DE.
Thanks 😊 the 800 DE is a marvellous bike too, never tried Taureg 🤔

Sounds nice. It's a big bugger so no good for me. Rain here, so I enjoyed looking at your 🌞 😁. Any luck with getting your hands on a TRK yet m8
