Personally, i think English is just a language or simply a tool of communication. There is no necessity to compare their accents or their pronunciations between each other. Apparently, their English levels are sufficient for the sake of understanding.

Louisa’s English has the most substance. Her choice of words is remarkable. She seems the most educated. Gotta give it to her cos the British accent isn’t the easiest to emulate. Good speaking is about substance & not form! You can speak in a heavy Hong Kong accent but your English can still stand out if you can articulate your thoughts well with well chosen vocabulary. Don’t let your natural accent hinder your articulation! American & Canadian accent is the easiest to pickup even if you’re not born there. Speaking from experience living in Canada before. If you can’t do North American accents, you can’t do accents at all!
What a lot of people don't realise is that a lot of HK celebrities (especially the Miss HK pageant contestants) were either born overseas or received education overseas, hence why their english proficiency is very high. But it is still interesting to see celebrities that I grew up watching speaking english, since I'm so used to seeing them speak cantonese only.

In HK there are some words are quite funny as they spoke the word of double they speak as "da-pou", triangle becomes "tue an gou". And Cantonese hardly to pronounce R, just like professor it becomes pofessor, problem is poblem. Btw it is nothing wrong on it at all as many people will still understand what are they trying to say.
By the way , i heard that only michele has the cantonese accent but others do not.. HK people 's Spoken English already one of the best among Asian countries. Indian speak English with Indian accent who care ?

Not sure why people complaining about what’s the point of the video? Seriously if you don’t like it then don’t watch it. This video does have some purpose to see how well they speak. You can criticize or compliment of their accent or communicate skill. I don’t think it is a bad thing as long you not put some hateful comment.
Maybe because of her living enviroments are mostly attached with the chinese speakers? idk If shes spoke chinese in most of her youth.. chances are she'll def have a accent. lol
She probably grew up in an area with a large Asian population and hung around a lot of Chinese people. And she probably spoke Cantonese a lot at home and that probably influenced her accent.
@@kl7342 Same in Australia. Lots of abcs here have a slight Chinese accent. I grew up in a very Asian area and most of my friends are Asian, but I have a strong Australian accent. And I think it's because I spent a lot of time listening to the radio and watching Aussie TV shows when I was growing up.

Personally, I wouldn't judge or compare people's accents or pronunciations. Though I also wouldn't lie that I prefer listening to a certain type of accents or a certain level of fluency in English, because it is actually pleasing to hear people speaking fluent English or with British Accent (my personal preference). And I think it is ok to compliment people's English even it was their native language. I guess part of it is because those people are usually at least bilingual and even they had the advantage of learning English, they still need to spend actual time and efforts on mastering both Chinese and English.
To me one's command of English is more than just accents and pronunciations. It's how they express themselves and use the vocabulary as well. Are they trying to say something meaningful or just do they just keep churning out cliches? So far only Fala Chen and Bernice Liu sound intelligent and fluent to me, the others sound like bimbos.
朱千雪's interviewer lol i love her tone. I like 宣萱 for her a little bit british accent. I'm most impress with 徐子珊. Hers isn't the best considering she grew up in Hong Kong but it's very close to the ones who grew up in Canada and America. It's way better then 黃心穎 and 倪晨曦 who grew up in Canada. 岑麗香, 陳凱琳, 鍾嘉欣, 朱千雪, 雷莊兒 and 邵珮詩 are Canadian. 陳法拉 and 張曦雯 are American. So they have the typical american accent. It would be cool if 麥明詩 stay in Aussie. She would have gotten a Australian accent which is way better then the american accent.
It's also because she had a script. So it was probably rehearsed, or at least she didn't have to come up with the proper vocabulary and grammar on the spot like during an interview.

It really doesn't matter what kind of slang or the accent they speak, it is matter of people know what are you taking about. For those who born and raised up or study abroad since very young in English native countries they will likely speak better. But it doesn't make them superior than the person who speak like a Chinese slang.
