Due to the pandemic, at the start the shelves were empty, no ginger to be found. I regularly cook with it and use it for tea. It took several months for me to get my hands on it again, so I bought 2 roots. One was for culinary use, the other I put into the soil. I have had a beautiful ginger plant for a little more than a year now. I love how fragrant the leaves are too! I live in the city and only have a patio, so everything I grow is in containers. It has not limited me much though. Love it so much!
I wish. Paula i assume. You know this is the new' way of passing the message for our org. Please do pass it on to your people. A 'like' is basic but if all our local seed netowrks would pass the message and the clips that would be really useful. find what a LSN is if need be. Thanks for comment/comments. BTW we now shoot with a tripod from our Iphone 4S.
We bought a variety of Ginger for the flowers many years ago. Are these types of Ginger edible? It has grown from a 3 gallon pot into a small forest of Ginger 9 feet tall and 150 square feet in area. We planted it next to the drain line for the A/C unit, so it gets plenty of water in our hot Florida summers. I recently (this winter) planted a few pieces from the local grocery store and they are growing nicely now, so if it turns out the older one isn't edible, we'll still have Ginger in the near future. How long does it need to grow before you harvest it? How can you tell if it's ready to harvest or not?
SURE, lets trade. How big a piece of Ginger would you like? I Love Figs. We have a couple varieties growing here Black Mission, Brown Turkey and Magnolia. They were all planted last Spring, so we haven't gotten any fruits YET. I'm not familiar with the Trifoliate Oranges??? Edible Y/N Do you like Lemon Grass? That is another Asian seasoning plant that grew extremely well here as well. I'll send you some of that too, if you'd like.
Where's the part what to do with it after harvest????
