Yours is by far the most genuine and kind reaction to this song that I’ve seen so far. That song gives me shivers every time I listen to it. Such a masterpiece and it even has an amazing background story being kind of a „welcome back“ gift for Tamu, the drummer after her maternity leave. Sometimes I’m extremely close to crying over that beautiful piece of art.

"Life" is my favorite song of 2020, the song that made me fall in love with NEMOPHILA. And with the lyrics, it's even more powerful. Very beautiful words by Mayu

Seeing it direct was even more emotionnal because there was the complete Saki's speech before the song, and the tears starting to flow from everyone. I love how they're not afraid to show and share their emotions without any acting or over reacting. Life, just life.

This song really show the world their versatility, the vocals are incredible along with the instrumentation, there's really something special about Mayu`s vocals, the best in Japan and that's a lot to unwrap, congrats on the baby's birth and health and happiness to baby and mom.

This is one of the marks of a truly great metal band---they can switch gears and do something intimate and emotional. Plenty of bands can bang. But this? It's special. Thank you for the heartfelt reaction.

These ladies are such amazing artists, not only because they love what they are doing, but they are having such a deep connection to one another. This song goes deep and brings back many memories about people I love and care about. I must have watched this video about 10 times and I am still choking up. Just beautiful, that’s all I can say. Great reaction, all the best to your friend and her new born baby 👶.

It hit me emotionally the first time I heard it too, then when I found out they were singing this to Tamu who just came back from having a baby and that it was Hazuki's birthday too, well the second time I watched it, it got more emotional for me. The love these ladies have for each other could not be shown any better than in this video. These ladies can get me fired up and on top of the world then bawling like a baby the next, this is truly a gifted band. Thank you for reacting to my favorite band!

Today (May 25th, 2021) marks exactly one year of my mother's passing away, and yes, I cried a lot today. This kinda song becomes way too emotional, and for the first time, I cried listening to this song after I listened to it so many times before. I am amazed at how tight and how in-sync they are as a band in just a little over two years. These ladies are more than just a band now, they are family they are sisters. There is another version of the song with subtitles. You should go back and find out one so you can see what the lyrics actually are, then it will hit you even more. Saying the bands they have in Japan now by Nemophila and Band-Maid really makes me miss living in Japan I spent six glorious years in that country. And I had a blast every day while I was there.

Can you see Tamu Murata on the drums hitting with tears in her eyes?
And why is the vocalist MAYU turning his back on the audience and singing to Murata?
Murata was resting for half a year to give birth. And this song is a cheering song to start a "new life" for her who came back to the stage.
Murata seems to have been sorry to the other bandmates for resting less than a year after the band started, but it seems that the cheering song was sung to Murata and shed tears of joy.
It's great to sing a message to their bandmates.
I cried when I heard the lyrics. I think there is a video with an English translation somewhere on TH-cam. Please look for it.

      残念ながら日本語がちょくちょく間違ってるので、英訳も意味不明な所があるみたいですね。
      でもまあ大体はOKかな。
Unfortunately, Japanese is often wrong, so it seems that the English translation has some meaningless points.
      But I think it's OK.

If you didn't catch my comment on the original video and for those new to this:
"This is a great song from their first live stream concert this summer.. Was even better watching and hearing it stream live. For those that did not see it. Before the concert, Saki had a message up to stay tuned after the show for an encore. At the end of the show they took a break and came back on. They then started talking, which lead to Saki talking to Tamu about her coming back and the recent birth of her baby. They all started crying. As they were talking, all the members were turning their mic stands towards Tamu so they could sing the last song to her. Also shown in the video was them surprising Hazuki with a birthday cake since it was her birthday at this time. While some of these members have other projects going on, it appears that this is something special to them and real to them. It looks not as a project but as something real and organic. If so, I am sure there will be much more coming from them."
Enjoy make sure to check out all their other videos on their channel. keep those Views and Likes Up 👍🤘😁

Hey man, don't worry about feeling songs. Music hits me really hard as well. It's hard not to empathize with people when they express themselves so wonderfully.
On an aside, since you seem to like this kind of stuff, you can try out "About Us" live on Band-Maid's channel. It has English captions on it if you want to know the words. It's a very heartfelt message to all their fans who have been struggling throughout the last year. It was meant to be revealed at their first concert this year, which had to be cancelled because of the Big C, so they had to show it off on one of their online concerts.

Here's a link to a video of Mayu explaining why she wrote "Life". Its the same video that's on the Nemophila page but is translated with embedded English subtitles. Its split in two parts and here's Part 1 with the explanation th-cam.com/video/bYXcqKysDJs/w-d-xo.html There's also this "Mayu Diary" video that doesn't directly mention "Life", but after you learn the origin, it will add more info to the meaning and purpose of the song th-cam.com/video/_9RR5Wjl0Zk/w-d-xo.html. So in a nutshell, the 1st video is an interview with Show-Ya frontwoman Keiko Terada and Mayu to promote a "Show-Ya vs Nemophila" show. In it Mayu reveals she actually wrote the "Life" lyrics after auditioning at Naon on Yaon festival to be a "Cute Girl" opening act with her old band Lipstick. They didn't win a spot and Mayu was bummed because she always wanted to perform at Hibiya Garden (famous outdoor venue in Tokyo). Even though they lost Mayu still got some encouraging advice from Keiko, who was judge. Later Mayu writes "Life" based on her Naon experience and vows to one day sing it in the "Garden". In the video, Keiko does confuse Mayu's auditioning band as Nemophila, but it was Lipstick. There's a cropped photo they flash of Keiko with Mayu and it clearly shows Mayu wearing her Lipstick era make up and a Lipstick t-shirt. Keiko was probably accidently mixing up band names because Nemophila does play at Naon later on but its as Showcase Performers. As we all know Mayu eventually does get to realize her dream of singing "Life" at Hibiya and she admits to breaking down when it happened (In the "Mayu Diary" video she talks about Hibiya being a "dream stage"). A cool part about the conversation is watching the chain effects leading to "Life" being written. Even though Lipstick doesn't win, Keiko still took time to give Mayu career advice. Mayu then write's "Life" based on that experience and years later not only does she sing it at Hibiya with Nemophila but it also becomes one of Keiko's favorite song. I guess its the circle of "Life". I just wanted to share so fans get the real reason story behind "Life", but it still doesn't take away from the tribute to Tamu. Here's Part 2 if anyone want to finish the rest. th-cam.com/video/4ZC2dKMBJyw/w-d-xo.html
