    Them hydraulic rakes do work better to pick up matter down alfalfa.

    Those rakes do a great job I have a small one we use for square hay I love that big v rake just for speed but your making a fluffier even windrow with that

      Both styes have their place... but i do prefer this rake so far than our 16 wheel h&s high cap

      @@tedkahler9738 I have tons of fields ranging from 5 acres to 65 being the biggest so my 10 wheel v seems to do real good as far as speed and we have terraces and mtn land so everything is rough but you can rake lowground and heavy hay and the row just looks and bales better with those power rakes

    A little bleached on top won’t hurt anything. I thought it looked like the alfalfa was growing back, man that was quick! Doesn’t give much of a window if you have less ideal weather to get it made.

    Nice rake man! I run a little side delivery rake and have been considering a wheel rake for a while now. I know the V rake is ultimately the way to go, but I don't have the hydraulic flow to run one. That auto steer sure seems to be coming in handy!

      think this rake only requires 6 gallon per min... i know people run them with 3020 deeres

    Looking like the Rake is barely wide enough to catch the Very outside of the Windrows ?

      It is adjustable I only open it up as far as I have to to reach

    I like my little V rake but that is a good looking setup with that double basket rake!
    are leaf hoppers an issue for you ?

      Hoppers can be a problem but this year so far they have not been

    Are them rakes slower than the wheel rakes

    • @tedkahler9738
      @tedkahler9738  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes travel speed can be greater with a wheel rake.... You can rake as fast as you want to set in the seat with a wheel rake... but the question is should you???
