    Possibly. Contact the shop where purchased to see. Occasionally it would be classed as a "wear and Tear" part and may not be replaced under guarantee.
    Thanks.

    Thanks for that, my dad's mower was making a lot of noise but not doing any work (so i nicknamed it a politician) and now it's fixed with no large repair bill, and i've got a new joke to annoy people with.

    Hi what belt do I need for flymo 300 brought one from eBay but wrong size

    We have the Flymo Easi Glide 300 and our belt has snapped, we’ve managed to get the first four screws out, but the screw and the bolt is rusty on the one on its own on the back, any suggestions on how to get it out? At the moment we are letting it soak in WD40 and some rust remover. Any advice would be appreciated, thanks!

      Hi Elli, thanks for your post. We would recommend trying to remove off as much rust as possible using an emery cloth. Follow with lubrication and the correct size spanner and screwdriver.

    I have a Flymo Glider 330 and found that the cover isn't held on with a 3rd screw as in the video but it clips in at the front and sides. After removing the two obvious screws turn the mower over and prise/lever out the front rollers (it just pushes back in place) You will then see a plastic clip which, with a wide blade screwdriver or similar, you will need to release. I found that you also need a screwdriver to help release the sides of the cover; a bit fiddly and an extra pair of hands would help. To replace the cover it just clips back into place and retained by the two screws

      It is possible the blade pulley has twisted over towards the motor (use a ruler across the pulley to check. If this has occurred then you will need to replace the bearing assembly: www.espares.co.uk/product/es1633660

    Just bought a belt for my Bosch lawnmower. Is the disassembly similar?

    • @eSpares
      @eSpares  8 ปีที่แล้ว

      +Pete Town The process is usually similar there may be a few difference relating to the positioning of screws however the majority of the process should be the same :)

    I have a flymo 390 which does not start and I cannot find anything on U TUBE that deals with this problem. Can you help. thanks

    • @eSpares
      @eSpares  10 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Irish Mist, If you use a simple multi meter you can check on low resistance if you have a connection from the pins on the plug to the connections on the motor when the switch is pressed. If you have good connections on both the live and neutral connections to the motor and no connection across the motor then you have a faulty motor.

      eSpares Thank you for your reply...I am one of those people who needs to see something done which is why I cringe when I have to read instructions but I will give it a try.

    I have a Flymo Glider 330 (model no. G330, bought in 2011). The video is fine to start with but on my model the motor cover has 2 screws below the grass box but doesn't have one at the front. I've removed the 2 screws but cannot get the motor cover off as something else is holding it in place, so currently stuck. Looks like a similar problem to others but for a different model. Any help on how I can remove the drive cover on a G330. I can see the belt has slipped off but can't get to it. So frustrating.

      @eSpares  10 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Shannock66, If you look at the second image on our system for the motor cover at: www.espares.co.uk/product/es1668863/motor-cover?SearchTerm=FLY5780110648
      You can see the two 'posts' that the screws attach to. There does not appear to be a third so this suggests the cover will 'clip off' once the two fixing screws are removed.

    does anyone know if i simply flip the blade over to have the unused sharp cutting edge hitting the grass? or do i need to get the original cutting edge sharpened? over many years the normal edge is blunt and dented. i'm swapping a damaged belt and noticed this. thanks for any advice.

    • @eSpares
      @eSpares  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Steve, The design of the blade on most Flymo's is designed to have one bevelled side and one completely flat side and normally on the new ones say "This side to grass" to make sure it is fitted the correct way up.

    Have Flymo Venturer 32 Lawnmower. Got top cover off can see Motor but don't have right screwdrivers to go any futher? What EXACT sizes are needed = possibly Torx screwdriver for screws (but they look real small so possibly below T5 or sizes many Torx Sets start from). You would think Flymo would have this exact info. somewhere online. Thanks for help! Don't want to waste money on a set that doesn't have right sizes, or types of screwdriver, etc.

    • @eSpares
      @eSpares  9 ปีที่แล้ว

      ***** T10 is the smallest size used for case screws on Flymo's to our knowledge so it is likely to be T10 or possibly T15. We sell a kit that should be suitable at: www.espares.co.uk/product/es1637265

    On the Easi Glide 300 the system retaining the motor cover is somewhat different - its front seems to be held in place by a single Torx screw, but undoing that does not free it. So I cannot for the life of me figure out how to remove the EG300's cover.

      @alandawson-hollis6333 9 ปีที่แล้ว

      Matthew Montagu-Pollock I have the Easi Glide 300 also and have succeeded in removing the cover. First take out the two obvious screws. The front of cover is just snapped in. To release it, turn the mower over and dig all the muck out of the T-shaped recess underneath grass hood at front. You might need a torch, but you can then see where the orange cover meets the black of the base there is a small slot. Just insert a suitable screwdriver and carefully prise the two bits apart, so that the lipped edge can clear -- at the same time pulling the coverup. Hey Presto!

    haha I spent half hour today tryng to do that....in todays heatwave..i gave up because the 2 screw holes in the orange lid were so bogged with crud..i couldn't see iinside and continued using the box screw driver ...and also I didn't know about the screw on the front...but alas on top of all this ..I think the new belt looks twice as long as it should be..so they've probably sent wrong one :) thanks again...ps I'm not usually this useless x

      +eSpares - Likewise the 340 model which is similar - I did manage to work out how to dismantle the mower to get at the drive belt but it was not very straightforward. In the end it came down to carefully levering the motor cover off at each of the retaining clips around the base.

      Thanks for your comments Ray. It is not possible to have all models to show videos but we hope we cover most jobs to give an idea how to tackle them. We always welcome feedback and descriptions how others have carried out a repair as it may help viewers with their models. :-)

    Doesn't work for Flymo 380 - but thanks. Also, the problem with Flymos is that they use inferior screws that rust, meaning you can't get them out - rendering the mower redundant because of something as simple as needing a belt change.
