- In the worlds most competitive racing game, there are no limits to how far players will go to perfect their craft. Even on a track that was deemed to be impossible when it released, Trackmania players still found a way to speedrun it. This is the World Record History of Oach.

I've always been proud to be the creator of a battleground that's seen so many fights and crazy improvements over the years, and now seeing its history immortalized in such a beautiful video is a great honor.

Seeing your name wakes so many feelings in me from the amazing RPG tracks to the sadistic ones 😀. I do miss the time on that RPG server you used to host (?) Back in 2010-2012 thou. It was so nice to just sign in and play some new hard map and then hopefully beat it before I ran out of time. Those really were the days
Great to see the history of oach immortalized in such a well made video! Truly a legendary track - I still have such vivid memories of my first run nine years ago, spending four hours on cp3... it's wild how far the trial community has come over the last decade

I knew 16 or even sub 16 is possible.
To put this in perspective how insane this is, there are only 6 players that have done the track in under 1 hour. And only 3 players in under 30min.

that is nuts. knowing something is possible and then actually *doing* that is a whole other kettle of fish. just nuts how good some people are.
So he even beat the run with the best possible splits? He oneshot everything? Damn...
It's pretty insane that usually when a record goes from hours to minutes it's due to the discovery of new bugs/shortcuts. These improvements were from skills alone.
I always wonder where do you get the replays from these historical moments. I’m feeling all childhood memories and emotions in that video.
Like it was yesterday We all were hunting that map for the first finnishes. I feel like I had amazing childhood seeing this video.

21:22 Nawks strat is actually really damn good for learning new tracks and improving fast, completing every single run helps you build muscle memory and learn the track way faster than resetting on every mistake in hopes of a fast run.

YUP!!!! I notice immediate improvements once i start doing this on tracks. Save the resets for bad fails and when you are very good already.
Wow Simo is such a legend. Coming back 10 years later to take his legacy back and bring it to a sub 20min run is just impressive. big chad moment
Playing the game for over 14 years now, I've been amazed many times, but the skill shown by trackmania trial players is something I will never get bored of. The precision, car control and patience needed for the stuff shown in the video is far beyond my comprehension. Great video!
It's an amazing thing that wirtual captures and documents these legendary hours that the players put in, which would otherwise be only a small bubble in the internet.
I don't know how long Wirtual takes to view all of these replays, and put them into one video under 35 minutes, explaining what happened on every single replay, but it's truly amazing, the quality of his videos are amazing, and I'm so happy he's come this far. Can't wait to see him have 1M subs!
As someone from Austria, I was very delighted to see the track's name. Oachkatzlschwoaf is a german word with an Austrian dialect. In typical German, it means "Eichhörnchenschweif" and translated to English the word means "Squirrel Tail". I love this Trackmania Track just for the name alone xD

I mean, it's just crazy to think about a guy leading the pack by almost an hour and a half in a game that regularly disputes records by the hundredth of a second. That's probably more legendary than anything else related to this track. Drunk deserves so much credit for being such an absolute unit.
As an Austrian hearing you say wht should be "Oachkatztlschwoaf" is the funnuiest thing ever.
Oachkatzlschwoaf is "squirrrels tail" in englisch
It's a word normally used to confuse Germans with the Austrian dialect.

Once again I find myself captivated by a game I never played and speedrunning which I've never done. All due to the great narrator and story teller, Wirtual. Fair game, finally subbed. Well deserved.

I like how the players who are good enough to beat this track let alone quickly, are super wholesome when their record is beaten. Almost like they are happy to see somebody pull off a faster time somehow
7:22 Music choice brought a smile on my face. That must be my favourite video game music of all time from the greatest videogame I've ever played. I loved wandering around Gaur Plains listening to that piece and enjoying the scenery even late into the game when there was not much to do.

@@AbsoluteHuman Xenoblade Chronicles. If you just have a Nintendo Switch and you enjoy a game with an epic story, I highly recommend picking up the remastered version (Xenoblade Chronicles: Definitive Edition). Words aren't enough to describe how beautiful the game is.

The coolest part of TNF record runs is it's a game released in 2008 that still has people dedicating full time work hours to grinding the smallest of advantages
Man I’ve never played track mania, but the determination these players have is undeniably amazing. It’s insane to think that someone who would’ve beat a map when they were a young kid would come back 9 years later to take the world record. The memories these players must share is just incredible; what a journey it must’ve been

I liked the jazzy and more methodical music in this video. It shows that amount of cool headed persistence that a Track like this takes, compared to the electronic or rock and roll music you often see in speedrun / challenge videos.
