    I love how natural and simple it looks. You really recreated it well. Also, the fish look so nice in there!👍

    Beautiful scape! When you showed the River I thought you were going to catch wild local fish for the tank!

    Man! You nailed that natural look with this. Those rocks are 👌
    Once those rocks algae up some more some hill stream loaches would be right at home.

    To he honest, this is probably my 5th time commenting on a video since I have this youtube account and it is old 😆 This is such a great scape, simple but yet has a huge visual impact. Great choice of fish 😍. They would pop out even more if the aquarium had a black background. Would love to see a picture or an update on the aquarium with the background on. Keep up the goods work.

    Hello, I liked your scape, although I wouldn’t risk putting large stones just on the glass; I’d put something underneath. And also, as I understand it, you wanted to recreate the biotope of the river in Soca? Whereas gourami live in completely different conditions, certainly not in a mountain river.

    What tank is that? Looks really nice I would like to buy one.

      It has opti-white glass and was made by local shop. Any Opti-White rimless aquarium with transparent silicone should look like that.

    How that glass floor will hold that large rock for long ?

    • @MaticMermolja
      @MaticMermolja  ปีที่แล้ว

      I never had issues with glass floor holding large rocks, even when putting more than 100 kg of Frodo Stone in 180 L Iwagumi build. It has also support of other rocks around. If I were to use even bigger rock, then I would add some styrofoam under.

    Hi, just a thought. Do we realy hav to wait a few weeks to cycle this tank? I mean theres no plant, and using all these natural stones n sand, im sure its healthy enough for the fishes to be introduced instantly?
    Edit; btw, what a lovely lake/river/stream. Ive never been to one ever.

    i would like to use stones but I am afraid of the weight...!

    • @MaticMermolja
      @MaticMermolja  9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      If you have cabinet made for aquarium weight you have nothing to worry about. Just be careful when placing stones inside, so you don’t break or scratch the glass. If you want to be extra careful you can put first some sort of substrate (sand or soil), so you don’t place them directly onto glass. Make sure bi stones are not hanging on any side of aquarium glass. Once they are in place, they won’t move. Good luck!

    These stones will be covered in algae soon... This setup is missing two things and it is flow and some simple looking long plants ....

    • @MaticMermolja
      @MaticMermolja  11 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      Thank you for suggestions. I have already added some plants, flow is something that will be addressed in near future. Will post an update.

      @@MaticMermolja the scape is great, but Honey Gourami? No floating plants, no place for them to hide or nest. I do love these fish, but they are a bad choice for this scape.

    • @MaticMermolja
      @MaticMermolja  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@jokervienna6433 Thanks for recommendation. After reading your comment, I have added floating plants. Behind that big rocks there is great hidding place (not seen in video). I have also introduced some plants (big Anubias and Microsorum sp.)

    • @jokervienna6433
      @jokervienna6433 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@MaticMermolja sounds good! Since these fish regularly need to go up to the surface and get some air, the floating plants really should make them feel more safe. They don´t really care about other hiding spaces, the surface is the most important for them.
