OMG THANK YOU SO MUCH!!! I tried unplugging that little battery cable like you suggested , left it off for more than 30 seconds plugged it back in and abracadabra my battery is now at 33%!!! Before I couldn't get it past 3% , it made me crazy. Even funnier , I was on Ebay looking for a replacement charging cable when I turned the tablet on just to check ha. Also I turned it off after I set the date and time (always makes my cellphone charge faster if I turn it off so it makes sense to do that with the tablet as well ) . Thank you so much for your help , Cheers!!!

This was bought to replace an old Lenovo tablet which was essentially too sluggish to cope with modern websites. th-cam.com/users/postUgkxz4qYZoyAOb_hq_UbaKI6AsZX0FnoFm-U This tablet is fast, has a very clear display with built in optional eye comfort shield, great sound with Dolby Atmos, split screen option and numerous tweaks that I've not yet explored. I've plugged a wireless receiver into the i/o socket to connect a mouse if I need it and a bluetooth keyboard works fine - unlike the Lenevo which somehow would often garble the input. Battery life seems good. In short I'm very pleased with it

Wish me luck! I am purchasing mine on Amazon tonight for $19 Should get in delivered by the ends of the week. I have already tried to disconnect the battery for a few mins and reconnect. Nothing. Then got a new battery, same, nothing. had 2 different chargers besides my original. and also nothing. So wish me luck on this too. if it works, I have 2 of my childrens Kindle Fires that need their charging ports changed, both broke. If this works for the Samsung and I feel comfortable enough, I will be fixings those soon too. Being a single mother of 3 kids who cant work due to end stage cancer, I have learned that If I want stuff done, I have to do it myself. Because its too expensive to take to a tech shop, and I cant get them new ones either. Wish me luck and thank you!!!

Sorry to be just now responding. But so many asked me how it worked. so I felt the need to respond. Plus, I think that the added time actually gave me more of the entire picture. Which I think you will also agree. The product was delivered within a few days. And as soon as it came in, I went right to work on it. I first gave a few tries to things he mentioned in the beginning where he a certain bit, lifted it and put it back in. I tried that a few times also, with no changes. And while doing my own research, trying to locate that video he watched, I came across one that said to take out the entire battery, replace it, and restart the computer. Didn't do anything for me either. So I went right to replacing the charging port.
And like him, I received the GT-N8000_CTC REV 0.5. And after giving it a few tries, it wasn't seeming to work. But I finally got it to start to charge, I left it charging for basically a day. I had chemo the entire next day, so I went in at 8:30am until 5:15pm. And one of the premeds knocked me out for the rest of the evening. So I didn't even check on it till the day after chemo, 10:30am. And to my excitement, it was fully charged, and actually worked for about 4 months. But it acted up again, and I purchased another charging port, from a different company. That one only worked about a month. So, I turned to buying chargers, when it wouldn't charge. None of them worked for more than a few weeks. So I basically gave up on it,because I don't have the finances. After being diagnosed terminal, and being put on Social security, and Welfare, I'm not able to work, and living on a very limited income. What is funny is that the Samsung Note 10.1 still sits in the same spot I put it in, after I checked it the last time.
For a while, I used my kids computers, while I was saving some money for a new laptop, little by little. Then one day, I received an unexpected check in the mail for my birthday. The only thing it said was that everyone knows how I tend to spend my money on my kids. Leaving myself very little money for myself, especially when I'm in need. So I need to first make sure that I spend the majority of the money, on myself. Then if there is any money left over, I can spend it on the kids.
I am sure you can guess what I purchased for myself, after lots of research, of course! I've always wanted something like the Samsung 10.1, but also a laptop. And now, I had the money to get a good one too! And not used. So at first, I wanted a specific Mid-high-end flip-laptop/touch screen that can be used in both the Computer Mode and Tablet Mode. Whatever I got, I needed to be sure that it had most or all of the features that the Samsung 10.1 had. I especially wanted to be sure that it had the feature of having many usable windows on the screen, at the same time. But didn't have that one in stock at the time. And they wouldn't get it in stock, or sent to me for another three weeks. And I really didn't want to wait that long. So the Big Lots sales associate talked me into a ASUS - 15.6" Touch-Screen Laptop - Intel Core i5 - 12GB Memory - 256GB Solid State Drive - Light Gray Notebook Tablet, 2-in-1 PC Computer. It has been pretty good, only needing one thing fixed, 1 1/2 months ago. And guess what it had to do with..... Charging it. Which was a common problem with this model. The place where you plug the charger into, had a small crack in it. And they had to welded the new one in place. So unless a person has their own welder, they would need to send it to a computer company to fix it. It wasn't expensive either, especially knowing how much I paid for it, and how long I had it. And ever since I got it back, I have had no problems. Thank God!
But now that you asked me questions about the SamsungNote10.1, I am wondering if I should try and get that up and running again. Were you using it, prior to this problem?

Same thing happened to me until I simply turned off the tablet before plugging it into the charger. I have always had fast battery drain issues though since I first got it.
